It does not mean to be great
It was called the ancient Goguryeo Baekje Silla, that samhan (삼한,three han)
The meaning's that the three han are become one and large
So meaning's greatest han is right, not great han
Han(한) is pure korean, meaning's large and wide
South Korea - heavily Americanized with an insanely high suicide rate because their work culture is brutal
North Korea - like South Korea without the foreign influence, also gulags and shit.

North Korea is the country where Stalinism never died. "Pure" Korean culture was eradicated by the three-pronged Japanese-Russian-American pitchfork. While Korea will always be staunchly anti-Japanese, the south anti-communist, and anti-American depending on the current mood, they will never be "pure" Korean because of how thoroughly Japan, Russia, and the States fucked that country.
It's like the Pepsi version of Japan.

it's starting guys, take your seats.
psycho chicks. Just don't....
based on blood. if you're not korean don't worry about it, you'll never be a part of it
Marxist-Leninism is just as foreign to Korea as American capitalism and democracy is. They're both offshoots of the same 18th century Enlightenment ideas.
also this guy
>muh suicide rate
That's because it's so developed that there's nothing else to kill people anymore. Even "natural" deaths like heart attacks are lower than in the U.S. because people don't eat like pigs. It's good for the weak to voluntarily remove themselves from society.
>"대한"사회 보장
Failure of Capitalism in the south, same failure of Communism in the north...
Culturally unique despite the fact that it was affected from China back in the days. We reformed a lot of them in our own way (confuciasnism, budhism, admin. sys of ancient governments)
imported Chinese Character, Confuciasnism, Buddhism etc. from China and passed them on to Japan.
Culturally ahead, politically far behind
