MY

It's trash

It's not that bad, guys

It's REALLY not that bad guys.

I just started listening to Metallica. Should I listen to St. Anger just to check out how bad it is?

Are there any quintessential 'so bad it's good' albums I should listen to just for the laughs?

The title song and Invisible Kid are tolerable

Actual pleb cuckold

Its pretty bad guys.

I don't want you listening to any angry music.

You should listen for how good it is and don't forget to jump on your bed with your shoes on while listening for full effect.

...

Lulu is one of my favorite albums of all time, I didn't find the big five Metallica albums to be that good, just average stuff...does that mean I should listen to St. Anger because it's actually amazing?

this

There are 3 main problems with this album:
1. The shitty production
2. Lars using my grandmother's Dutch oven as a snare
3. The fact that it was a Metallica album

Listening to it again with more of an open mind, I think the 3rd reason is what pisses people off the most. It's just so obvious that they were trying to sound like every mainstream metal band at the time when they released it. It does have some Ross Robinson early-Korn-esque ferocity that is definitely different, but the fact that Metallica was creating this sound that was far beneath their capabilities (as was Bob Rock) it made the experience pretty frustrating and hard to get through

Fuck you, that's a great album.

Maybe I should give it a listen then.

Derrrr is that an apple or an orange? I can't tell

>my grandmother's Dutch oven as a snare

RIP

>9.5/10: Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets
>9/10: ...And Justice For All
>8.5/10: The Black Album
>8/10: Hardwired... To Self Destruct
>7.5/10: Kill 'Em All, Load, Garage Inc.
>7/10: ReLoad, Death Magnetic
>2/10: St. Anger, Lulu

Ride The Lightning = Master of Puppets > The Black Album = ...And Justice For All > Kill 'Em All > Hardwired... To Self Destruct > Death Magnetic > Load > Garage Inc. > ReLoad >>> St. Anger > Lulu

...

Invisible kid is the worst one.

I don't like to rate music, but I could agree with that, except for Stanger and Lulu that I love just for the fact that they exist. Junior Dad and Dragon make me cry and I find myself mumbling All Within My Hands, Unnamed Feeling or Sweet Amber regularly. Stanger in general is so underrated only because of the context of the rest of Metallica's discography, even though personally I think that makes the album even better.

>Hardwired > Load

lmaoing @ ur taste rite now

The ambient echo guitar in the background that one section of All Within My Hands is the most patrician thing Metallica has ever done.

...

Best moments from St. Anger
>St.Anger verse
>WAKE THE SLEEPING GIANT WAKE THE BEAST
>The Unnamed Feeling chorus harmony
>Sweet Amber breakdown riff
>I ain't dancing with your skeletons
>PROJECTOR PROTECTOR REJECTOR INFECTOR This house is clean
>Not only do I not know the answer, I don't even know what the question is

And the inevitable Frantic-tic-tac

Actually I take that back, to me they're all 10's I can't live without any of them

reminder that The Unnamed Feeling is the only good song on the album
