Am I dreaming?

This Day in History:

>Cleveland Indians
1963 -- In the sixth inning with two outs at Cleveland Stadium, the Indians hit four consecutive home runs as Woodie Held, Pedro Ramos, Tito Francona, and Larry Brown all go deep off recently acquired Paul Foytack of the Angels. The former Tiger will become the first pitcher in major league history to allow a team to go deep in four straight at bats in a single inning.

>Oakland Athletics
1989 -- Second baseman Tony Phillips hits a two-run walk-off home run off of Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Bobby Thigpen, winning the game 3 to 2. This win put the Athletics, who would go on to win the World Series this year, 1/2 game behind in the division.

Go Tribe!

Nope, things look good for the Wigwams

>2.5 years of Miller
WEW LAD

Take care of Miller please

;_;

>Tito Francona
Pop knew how to get it done too

Will do lad

When I slack on my duties, someone arrives to supplant me.

Why is lucroy such a little bitch?

Because he wanted the Tribe to waive their 2017 option, and Antonetti laughed at him.

man we try to go all in for the first time in years and fuck up lmao

Just trying to keep the quality up. Where you been?

>get Miller
>don't give up future elite catcher for someone that wants to showboat at the end of his career and doesn't want to be a team player

No by all accounts Indians did well

>get miller
>fuck up
pick one friend

doesn't change the fact we need a catcher right now

>tfw gf

Mejia call up when? He certainly can't be worse than Perez and Gimenez.

I was happier about the Miller trade when it was compared to the package for Lucroy. Now it seems like an overpay.

Yes and they can still get one. If he wanted to wave his option for next year that deal would have been shit.

Gimmy is going to blow up on offense in the second half (CAP THIS POST) and is promising on defense. Perez is promising too but needs time. That said Perez is a trade item if he doesn't contend.

Need a lefty reliever much more. Offense comes with the rest of the lineup and >our current catchers are good behind the plate, which is what matters most right now.

y-you too

I'm sad about losing Frazier, but overpaying a little is fine for having one of the best bullpen arms for the duration of our window.

By all accounts the Indians farm system is loaded with great prospects so they can afford to overpay.

Frazier won't be as good as people think he'll be.

I miss the choo choo train sometimes.

Was it a sign?

HOLY SHIT FUCKING YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

JAMES MCANNON

oh shit wrong thread. I was in here reading your thoughts on your miller trade FUCK.

Sorry cleveland bros

Wrong thread

As long as you're not shitposting us don't worry about it. Watching the game on gameday desu since we're rain delay.
>big salami in the first fucking inning
>keuchel

Well looks like Indians need to sweep today

I wasn't I genuinely was in here just seeing how you guys liked your trade. Mccann sucks at offense so the excitement was so large that I forgot what thread I was in.

gl today

Thanks senpai Ruster. I'd say GL as well but I don't think you'll need it.

Still 8 innings to go, but Keuchel is pretty fucking garbage.

Think it would be fun if it came down to the last couple weeks between the two of us.

>Everytime I'm busy or working the Indians win
>Everytime I'm free and can watch they lose

Welp, lets see if this continues

It will. Indians last 23 games are all in the division and I think Tigers is similar. Unless the Indians pull ahead it's anyone's game at this point.

Someone explain to a casual how good Miller is and how bad it was for Cleveland to lose out on LucRoy

DELET THIS NOW

We need to get our shit together against you guys for sure though. We will see.

Miller is the best reliever on the market, has been consistently awesome for 3 years, and has 2 more years on his deal. Reliever market is inflated, so we had to give up some top prospects.

Lucroy is a top 3 catcher, and would fill a position of need. Package for him was good, and he had a 2017 team option in his deal.

Miller is a top 3 pitcher and a lefty. They absolutely need this and they can have him for at least another season.

Lucroy is a good veteran catcher. They need that but aren't desperate for it and they keep a promising better catcher prospect.

Overall went well.

Name a more homosexually named team than the A's

>Coco Crisp
>Marcus Semen
>Red-dick
>(((Smolinsky)))

Das it Kluber

How happy is this guy with knowing Miller can cover a W for him?

They're from the Gay Area, what do you expect?

Would you guy have rather had Chapman or Miller? Or is Chapman's 105mph balls just a meme gimmick and Miller is a lot better?

No shitposting please.

Unless it's Butterface, fuck that fatass.

>All that booing off the field last night

Shit was great, who else was there yesterday?

They're comparable, but Chapman would have been for tw months, Miller is for two years.

Miller absolutely. Speed is underrated these days but that's because control and variety are much more important.

That too.

>paul hoynes @hoynsie 1m1 minute ago Cleveland, OH

>Indians, with Jonathan Lucroy out of the picture, still need a bat. Looking at Jay Bruce, Steve Pearce.

I'm so fucking tired of 30+ year old 1B/OF/DH players

das it Klubot

That's all they're really going to find though, only a crazy/desperate person trades a prime bat in their 20's for something like prospects.

Not for Mejia. I swear to God, no.

Go tribe desu

KKluber

>99
>KK
Nice

>park babby outfield statue Jay Bruce

Nothing new from the trade wire. I don't want Pearce or Bruce.

Gomes Gimmy and Perez are good enough KEEP MEJIA CHRIS YA DINGUS

Is Miller playing today?

No. He'll join the team tomorrow.

No, he's supposed to join the team tonight. He was in Tampa with the Yankees

>Yfw the yankees make him play all 9 innings and then don't let him on the team bus and putt exlax in his gatorade

getting no-hit

Hammy just referred to Shaw as "dominant".

Two innings senpai, won game one without early action too

>Tfw I'm feeling like I need a nap

I don't wanna miss the game but I'm just so sleepy

>all these "no one wants to live in Cleveland" tweets about Lucroy
Twitter is a font of creativity

He actually hasn't been too bad lately.

fun fact: khris davis is half mexican

Any senpaitachi here got T-Mobile? Make sure to get the T-Mobile Tuesdays app if you do. Free Suicide Squad ticket coming up.

Dumb cunts that have never been there and are fuming on memes from the 80s that were stale even then. Now they're mad about LeGod and winning Indians, feels good

Fuck Lucroy. Asshole

Never understood this. Pro athletes have enough money to live anywhere they want.

also, KKKKluber

I was thinking the same thing. I mean you will literally be on the road half the time anyways, you don't even need to move your family.

It's a giant meme.

Holy shit A TURNED DOUBLE PLAY IT'S FUCKING HAPPENING WE DOUBLE DRAGON AGAIN

Casuals think athletes are as retarded as they are when Lucroy's only concern was being a starter.

baequin

Baeeeeeeeeequin

Reminder what happened last time Cleveland and Jokeland had a sports series

Why does Sonny Gray look shorter than 5'11?

I TOLD YOU DAWG
I TOLD YOU ABOUT ALMONTE

When we can take Mejia up, assuming he keeps doing what he does, he'll crush it

>1 for 23

it's ALWAYS THE CATCHER who comes up in these situations

After he sees some time in Akron and maybe a short stint in Columbus. IIRC they brought Perez up from Akron initially.

Has to play AA and AAA first. Won't be in for a year unless they rush him up.

That was...strange.

OH SHIT ROBERTO "CHECK OUT MY CARLOS SLAMTANA IMPRESSION [BITCHES BE WALKING]" RAMIREZ

nice ab tbqh

Also, don't forget that they drafted Logan Ice, and he projects to be a plus defense catcher with a decent bat.

RoBBerto Perez

Slamtana pls

He's only thinking one thing

>not throwing an elevated fastball

Not really, not if they want to have money to retire on. Some of the guys are getting taxed upwards of 70% of their income.

>ramirez
PEREZ
Fuck, got a little too excited senpaitachi

Santana you're famous for patience WATCH THE FUCKING BALL REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

take this pls

He must have heard me.

you idiot!

HAHHHHAAAHHAAA
