Live in a highly populated area. Plenty of pokestops and most are lured. So I just hang out once I get off work and catch pokemon.

gotta level up then catch the high level wild ones (400+ CP). Catch everything you can for candies to use on the pokemon with high potential

I thing its gay as fuck tbh. don't get me wrong I used to be worse with pokemon than a weeb is with senpai.
However it just seems too easy. here's 50 pokeballs and don't worry if you miss you can pick that shit back up. Throw like 20 balls at a ratatat while it just fucking stands there. And forget battling a wild pokemon down to low hp in order to catch it. You can just hurl balls at it and you're guaranteed a pokemon.
Its just not right to me.

I have way more luck driving around too. Seems to work better when going slower just cruising around. tried twice going to a park down by the river, 3 pokestops at the entrance, walked down to the gym at the boat launch, beat it down 1 day but still low lvl with weak mon. never seen a single wild pokemon there. it was a treed area on the map too, does that matter at all? people say they catch water pokemon at fountains and shit but I find nothing by the river. does the terrain on the map actually mean anything? I heard the spawns are based on cellular activity or something. True? I always encounter like 3/4 pokemon when I roll into a costco

Yeah it's garbage. Nintendo finally started (well I guess not but this is the most egregious example) jumping on the nostalgia train and made a dumbass game that's not fun so that people who've never been into pokemon can play it because nerd shit is cool now

The step system is what made the game fun and they got rid of it so now it's basically unplayable. Gym battles still glitch to where the pokemon assigned to the gym will have a tiny bit of health and still be alive. Pidgeys, Rattatas and Caterpies start breaking out of multiple Pokeballs and sometimes fucking Great Balls (never using an Ultra Ball on a Pidgey).

It was a good idea that was executed poorly. If you're down to flush a bunch of money into the game then go for it otherwise nah.

i got this problem too, ran out of balls and the closest pokestop is half an hour away.

What do you mean by IV?

Not him, but Individual Values. There's a calculator if you look it up on Google. It doesn't really make that much of a noticable difference, though.

with the catch rates "glitched" I'm running low on balls too. Even with the low level ones llike fuck. I've been doing more stocking up at pokestops than catching lately.

sometimes go there and camp with my gf to get 3 balls every 5 minutes
at least i get fresh air and laugh at people that stop by in their car just for the pokestop

why laugh at the people in cars? driving can be so effective for pokestops. There is a street in my city with 7/8 along a 5 block stretch and I can spin all of them as I drive by. patch actually seemed to help with it too.
