To think there was a time when I was sure I would hate this show and that it would be shit. Couldn't be happier about being wrong.

Love show
Technical deep
Action mountains sexy love

this show isnt for kids, fusion are so fucking sexual, dunno how isnt banned

This thread needs more Sugar

Convince me to give this show a chance. Tell me why I should watch it.

I have no bias against it so far. I hardly know anything about it besides some of the character's faces and ofc the art style. What makes it worth my time? Why should I start this show over any other on my list of to watches?

Tell me what you guys like about it

...

I would like the show but my cringey ass brother likes it so the whole thing is ruined for me.

The first 10 episodes are a little rough but they do contain exposition that is important for understand the show, but it only gets better from there. Lots of metaphors for real situations and in-depth lore. It's like a puzzle, when you start finding out bits and pieces things you saw in previous episodes start to make sense.

Very unique story. Diverse characters. Instead of a coming-of-age story, it's like a coming-of-species story. Idk. Beginning is rough content and animation wise... but it does get better. And fast.

It is extremely plot heavy, but well paced with a lot of character development. From what I hear it is very similar to anime in that regard. The characters are generally pretty likeable and the world is pretty interesting and well thought out.

One thing to note, it takes a little while to get going. Like you're gonna probably need to go four or five episodes deep before it really catches you. The first episode or two might give you the wrong impression of the show and what its going to be like.

This show is shit. It's pure fucking cancer. Kill yourself

Its fan base is the same autistic idiots that get way too into Undertale.

true but the show itself is still quite good
Says someone who hasn't watched it
I cannot deny how much I loathe the way these people look even though I think they're doing a great job on the show

...

They are all beautiful please do not bully them

Is it like Rick and Morty? If so, I'd watch it. Currently watching Space Dandy though, so I'd have to watch it after that.

...

>bismuth
>gem
Kek

chekt and alright fine, I'll level with you its mainly the monkey and the dyke who's look annoys me

Sort of, in the aspect of character development. The characters a very light-hearted to start off with, but as the show progresses you learn more about them and their back story, it can get really dark at times.

...

It also has hidden easter eggs like Rick and Morty.

Ian and Becky are cuties

...

...

The show is nothing more than accepting mental illnesses and lgbt

Oh and blacks

It's funny, if you haven't noticed, this entire show is feminist propaganda.

Think about it, 90% of the main cast is female (yeah gender less I know but damnit you know what I mean) the main character is a young boy who has a black love interest.

There's a lesbian couple in the main cast. Heck the show makes you question your own sexuality at some points.

And yet, surprisingly enough, despite being made by feminists, it doesn't demonize men, heck Steven's father is actually a decent person with a decent characterization.

Overall, I would recommend the episode "hit the diamond" it's on the newer end, but hey, it's simple and gives you glimpse into what the show's about.

Its a very different sort of show from Rick and Morty in a lot of ways, mainly tone and the type of humor, but its also still worth watching.

Unlike Rick and Morty it has a very sincere, positive, decidedly uncynical outlook on life and people. Its humor is fairly character based and more about timing and occasionally wordplay. Although it can be very funny at times its not primarily a comedy, more of an action-drama. It pays a lot of attention to building its world and developing its long and overarching plot as well as its characters.

I love Rick and Morty and I'd definitely recommend this one but they aren't very alike.

...

I mean they are literally SJW cancer though

Can't argue with that.

Some of the other crew members can be like that but I haven't seen Ian or Becky say things like that.

Connie isn't black

They also piss off a lot of SJW cancer for not being relatively moderate.

...

It is also trying to force accepting mental disorders and that its okay being fat.

...

Does the one in the right play garnets voice?

if you're trying to explain a new show to someone are you going to be as specific as possible, or as generic as possible? OP can literally turn on any episode, see Connie and be like "cool she's black"

user, watch the show. its clear that you haven't

No, that's just a random dude. Estelle plays Garnet.

It's kinda like DBZ with feelings and lesbians, for better or worse

I just realized how many feminists are involved in the production of this show

She FAR from black. Look into the show a little more. Even the first time I seen her I knew she wasn't black

For not being relatively moderate or the SJW cancer are mad at them being relatively moderate?

So it doesn't try to spoofeed fat acceptance and mental illness?
Pls

...

He described the show for what it is. It's making kids feel like it's okay to be fat and that lgbt isn't cancer

Yeah pretty much. Closest thing to a western anime in terms of plot and shit that I've seen. More of a harem anime though, since Steven is basically living in a constantly growing stable of alien bitches and is clearly going to charm everyone into liking him until he is victorious.

They are moderate, the SJWs even got mad at them for the recent episode telling them not to murder people for disagreeing with you and that killing your "oppressors" doesn't solve anything.

...

I'm waiting for the episode in which Steven fucks every female character on the show

I only find the t and everything Tumblr has tried to add as cancer.

...

What? Connie is Indian. They it's stated also her Indian last name kind of gives it away.

They did? Kek, SJW's are crazy

...

The point is that she's a minority

...

Having a fat character be portrayed as a normal person who does normal things isn't "spoonfeeding" fat acceptance. Any show that isn't constantly using any overweight characters in the roster for fat jokes is going to fall under that definition. Was Kids Next Door a fat acceptance show for portraying number 2 as a normal part of the team?

As far as the lesbian thing goes its more complicated than that. They invented an alien race to deal with the issue. I'm not going to claim there isn't any metaphors going on there but its not like some pure, full-blown, in your face shit like you're implying.

...

...

>I'm waiting for the episode in which Steven fuses every female character on the show

And then they become the biggest sexiest cosmic dick girl ever and literally fuck a galaxy

link to the beta episode ?

...

...

For the record, Connie's an indian, the shows set in the tri-state area and we have a ton of the bastards around here. Just look at her parents, they have the Doctor stereotype going on.
Although, i'm not a fan of the whole interracial relationship thing, it didn't feel as forced and race isn't really a factor seeing as how she acts normal without any indian related quirks anyway.

Kek I wrote fucks, though fuses wouldn't be out of the question

...

If you want full-blown in your face gay acceptance in a cartoon that would be Clarence. Steven Universe is actually usually a pretty subtle show. Apart from that one time they had Steven wear a dress, but I guess that's obligatory in any magical girl anime.

What this guy said: SJW's go NUTS if you draw humanized versions of the Crystal Gems and don't give them the exact SJW-mandated minority ethnicity- or if you're white and you cosplay any of them other than Pearl (the paper white one).

When the show-makers said they didn't care how you draw/cosplay their characters, SJW's lost their minds. Again.

It's awkward. The show is about friendship, acceptance, and understanding, and has some LGBT themes in it.

Meanwhile, people attracted to the show because of the LGBT themes are incredibly toxic and go against everything show show is about. Woops!
