Do you think Solange's album is the best record of the year? Have you actually listened to it many times and reconsidered your initial, not so enthusiastic assessment of it? I have tons of friends and acquaintances that listened to it and none of them consider it AOTY material. Just because something could possibly have happened doesn't means it's the most reasonable explanation. Politics seems like the crux of the issue

A Seat At The Table, while it might not be AOTY, is not bad at all. And the producers who worked on this thing are cool (a long list but), it features names such as Q-Tip and Questlove. And you don't have to be angry about the Pitchfork thing. Apart from just reporting the music related news, their reviews and lists aren't supercredible.
