The Jim o rourke Produced Joanna Newsom record is outstanding... while I do agree that I was bummed when I heard "Unknown Pleasures" for the first time when I was younger because everyone told me how much I would love it... Arctic Monkeys' first album is special to me because my eldest brother would play it when he came out, and it basically gives me an insight into what his adolescence was like. I can understand why you wouldn't enjoy it if you weren't British. The Streets is the same in that sense. Love them both personally
