why does steel rust and titanium doesnt? different materials = different properties
Ryan Perry
Yeah does sound pretty similar. Also that guy looks like Fred Durst.
Nicholas Sanchez
Alright, so the different material properties affect how the guitar will age. So if poly won't wear like nitro, will poly wear at all?
Ayden Bell
My man
Aaron Adams
u wot m8
Sebastian Allen
very very very little
it will scuff, but it won't degrade and wear off like nitro. nitro is more like a paint, whereas polyurethane is actually a type of plastic resin that hardens and creates a very durable shell. you could take a 10 year old poly coated guitar and buff it and it would look brand new.
Since you want a jazzmaster without jazzmaster pickups, I have no choice but to assume you're a colossal faggot who just wants attention, and I'm not sure why I'm giving it to you.
Alexander Perez
>tfw you write some lyrics and put it to some power chords and are impressed with yourself but realize it's just your average "I hate my hometown and my life" pop-punk garbage
Halp
Jack Garcia
Seriously guys
Christopher Foster
it worked for this charming young man
Isaiah Clark
write more songs. you'll get better. but only write songs you give a shit about. don't write what you think other people want to hear or something that you think people will applaud you for. that disingenuous mindset leads to awful writing and the audience always has a BS meter on so we can tell
Aaron Brooks
I'm just drawing a blank on what to write about. I'm pretty depressed so that's all I can seem to think about.
Landon Turner
Write some stuff about how you're feeling too depressed to go on, and that someone should please tell your mom that this is not her fault.
Wyatt Hughes
theres nothing wrong with it if that's what you want to write right now. just make sure you put your personal touch and outlook on it and it will be unique. nobody feels or sees the world exactly the same way you do.
Landon Jackson
typical babyboomer
Easton King
Octaver on an expression pedal? Super fun
Justin Thompson
I also hate him. I found out about his channel a few weeks ago, subscribed for some days oout of some superficial curiosity and when he released a video called '9 unique gifts idea for guitarists' and I commented saying I didn't agree with some of the things he picked, such as buying a pick stapler, buying somebody lessons from a random local teacher and a shitty expensive portable power supply, instead of buying something like an actual good pedal, all he answered with was (sic) 'your a dipshit'.
Cameron Russell
What other sites do you guys use to learn guitar besides the ones in the pasta? How does your practice schedule look like?
Colton Taylor
Thousands of faggots made millions doing the same thing. Tried and true. Just try to word it in a way to make pussies cry or get the feels, you could be rich with one song.
Christopher King
savage
Brody Foster
>millions
I practice when my girlfriend goes to sleep because I'm scared she'll criticize my playing
Eli Bell
Wat is a 'pick stapler'? Is that the thing that makes credit cards into picks?
Isaac Watson
Yep. $30 to make credit cards into shitty picks.
Luis Jackson
>I practice when my girlfriend goes to sleep because I'm scared she'll criticize my playing You're me?
Also wtf ">millions?" There are tons of fags super rich from writing a few 4 chord, verse-chorus-verse pansy songs. Should i have put "hundreds of thousands of dollars"?
I had it set to 1 octave down and I was playing bass with my gutiar Now I know not to play bass with a pick because that shit its boring
Kayden Miller
It seems like it would be a good idea if you had a ton of credit cards and they weren't the thickness and material of something nobody would ever desire to use for a pick
Ryan White
Something that sucks is the lyrics I want to write don't necessarily fit with the type of music I want to play. I scrapped the my first attempt and so far I have one verse written that I kinda like.
Colton Watson
nobody makes straight up plastic picks for good reason
James Flores
>crushing on a qt trap who does anime opening covers
Kill me senpai.
Elijah King
Lmao. I set it a bunch high so i can do that "speed up" thing at the end of war pigs. Mostly i just make crazy shit noise.. The pedal sweep can go from -4 to +4 octaves or something. Like pantera's "fucking hostile" or suicide note pt2
Jason Hill
Credit cards are shit for picks. They usually have two layers of transparent plastic in the front/back that falls apart when you begin playing.
The middle part is too soft/brittle, the material is awful.
$30 buys you 144 Dunlop Tortex picks. That stapler is stupid.
Jason Collins
>crushing on a qt trap >Kill me senpai.
You're already dead inside
Kayden Hernandez
Yeah that's what I'm saying.. even if you did have a ton of credit cards you didn't need for some reason, they'd never work as a pick. Every time i buy picks i get a bag, and I'd buy them anytime i bought anything else from anywhere that sold picks. I'd never run out and i stopped doing that like 4 years ago. If i did run out, it just take one from the pile of washing machine/dryer picks my wife has.
Michael Jones
>learned about triads >every fucking chord and lick makes sense >everything fits now music for this feel
So I'm building a cab but I'm not sure what to buy, looking at either the Eminence The Governor or just some Vintage 30's.
I'm looking at 2 16 ohms that can handle at least 120 watts
>Pic related is my head
Landon Brooks
I get the irony
Brayden Evans
I just ordered this. Did I meme myself?
Joshua Richardson
...
Charles Barnes
Can you be so kind to explain why? I am learning about triads too, but I didn't have such epiphany. Thanks in advance.
Jonathan Morgan
I just thought of a joke
Active pickups
Adam Brown
>battery powered pickups
And there's enough space for at least 10 more frets there so you could have been buying a a bass and a guitar
Gavin Stewart
M O N O C H R O M E A E S T H E T I C S
Isaiah Thomas
To be honest I started to create triads for every chord shape I know, major chords, minor, seventh, ninth, major seventh, etc. Then checked some songs with nice chords progressions and started playing triads over those chords.Found out the notes in some of those triads fit various scale shapes
Evan Gutierrez
F O R G O T T E N I M A G E
Levi Bailey
just make it up. write about anything, it doesnt have to be sincere. write a song about getting drunk and going to the hardware store. dont listen to this fag
Carson Hernandez
Is active vs. passive hotly contested between bassists? I thought they were okay with solid state and active pickups and all that relatively new technology unlike guitarists who cling to the past for no reason other than tradition
Camden Martinez
Oh cool, I guess I gotta step up my triad game. It seems like one hell of a weapon to have in your guitar arsenal. Thanks familia
Jeremiah White
...
Lucas James
This is really nice.
Ryder Gonzalez
that's not bad but I literally cannot stand how ESP does that stupid, ugly fucking shit with the model number inlay on the 12th fret
Thomas Jackson
Bassists are way too chill to care about dumb stuff
Hunter Baker
I like it desu
Adam Ortiz
Reposting again just to see if I get any more opinions.
What's a cheaper alternative to the EVH 5150 III? Nothing over 50 watts. I might still get the EVH, but I just want to weigh my options and know if there is anything out there almost as good/as good but cheaper. I play Metal, but good cleans are desired if possible.
I don't want to get my tone from pedals.
Jackson Ramirez
>Is active vs. passive hotly contested between bassists?
Nah. Both can be useful. Some swear by passives but there's not the rabid militant defense league that guitar seems to have.
Nathan Fisher
Funny story > brother has a bass, i have same but older model > both play guitars, bass just to mess around with > new model had one active pickup > im glad i have old one cuz fuck batteries > ff like 9 years > ask how long battery lasts > "wot? Battery?" > tell him it has an active pickup > "wot? No..." > later sends pic of crusty battery in back of bass
Luke Campbell
...
Thomas Brown
Bassfag here, I'm meeting up with a potential band tomorrow and they play want to play indie stuff which is fine by me. I'm a funk/jazz electric bassist, so when going from something more demanding like jazz to a genre with less demandingness (for lack of a better term), what should I focus on doing more or less of?
Xavier Flores
>indie stuff
Do anything, it's already clear you're the best musician there.
Parker Peterson
Less is more in an indie setting. Accent the guitarist tone wise. Think Float On by Modest Mouse.
Juan Taylor
Well the singer is also a drummer who plays jazz and shit, and our drummer also plays jazz. I have no clue about the guitarist. I just don't want to get weird looks for doing little fills and shit.
Ryan Martinez
Check out some Santana songs if you're kinda into that sort of stuff. Oye como va or maybe Samba pa ti
Joseph Phillips
okay I See what you mean. Thanks, that helps.
Mason Morgan
>a bunch of jazz musicians get together to play indie trash
what are you lads doing?
Robert Morales
branching out
Christian Lopez
Right now, I have an MG15CF. How much money should I save up if I want to buy a decent amp? I'm probably not going to gig anytime soon but I'd like something that sounds decent enough to maybe record some demos.
Nathan Powell
>branching out >going from jazz to indie >branching out
Liam Wilson
> pickguard You know they stsrted putting those on there to hide the lazy router work
Tyler Jackson
Trying to make money
Matthew Johnson
That's like being a porn star. Then one day all the guys get together to do a gay porn. Tell everyone they're "branching out"
Levi Roberts
Sweet! Gonna learn them tomorrow. Thanks fampai.
Nolan Reyes
this tbqhfam to be honest.
Camden Brooks
People start picking on them for getting gay. Then they say they're just
