Bowie Thread!

Heathen > The Next Day

Oh damn, I said it I said it! In all seriousness, I enjoyed The Next Day. However, I feel as if Heathen was more personal in the song writing and just overall had better pace. Heathen might be my favorite Bowie album. Speaking of which, what are your top Bowie albums? Studio live you name it.

>Heathen > The Next Day

I don't think anyone argued otherwise.

My top 5:
Diamond Dogs
Earthling
Aladdin Sane
Heathen
Black Tie White Noise

Low's my favorite. Everything on it is perfect.

Hunky Dory
Station to Station
Aladdin Sane
Low
Ziggy

1. Heroes
2. Blackstar
3. Low
4. Lodger

Whats the most contrarian favourite album?

Young Americans is my fave and I rarely see people agreeing, except the guy from Perfume Genius

Hours... is such a strange, yet catchy album. Would have been a good EP.

It looks like a backstreet boys album lmao

Better than Earthling's ugly ass

Mark Prindle was crazy for Hours... Yeah.
I love Young Americans, hell it's my brothers favorite Bowie album too. Scary Monsters is my personal #1 but I still dig Young Americans. Even 'Across The Universe' is good when you remember it beats the Phil mix.

looks like a viper cover, what was he thinking

Probably

Scary Monsters
Heroes
Low
Heathen
Blackstar

I love it.

I recently gave Black Tie White Noise a try and it is really good. Specially the second half. I would say it's one of his most underrated albums.

My top 5:

>Outside
>Blackstar
>Buddha of Suberbia
>Scary Monsters
>Earthling

Top five tracks
>I Have Not Been To Oxford Town
>Afraid
>Dead Against It
>Diamond Dogs
>Fly
Inb4 absolute pleb

Might as well do my top 5 songs since everyone else is

1. Sweet Thing Medley
2. Looking for Lester
3. Sunday
4. Bring Me The Disco King
5. Strangers When We Meet

>contrarian
Tonight, NLMD
>hipster
Tin Machine

First for Reality being his best
do not be fooled by the garish cover

>not using the patrician cover

Young Americans is probably my #2 just behind Low. Only thing stopping it from being #1 is the exclusion of It's Gonna Be Me. It's one of his best vocal performances, I can't fathom why he kept it off the record.

I feel like this is one of his most underrated albums, and i wish i could find more music like this. Jump They Say and the Morrissey cover (which Bowie did much better) are my favorite tracks.

>"""patrician"""
>horrible resolution
>most likely in .mp3 format played through earbuds that came with his phone
wew lad

That looks so much nicer

The OBJECTIVE list of best 5 albums coming up:
>Low
>Heroes
>Aladdin Sane
>Lodger
>Heathen

Best songs:
>Sound & Vision
>Space Oddity
>Strangers When We Meet
>Absolute Beginners
>Blackstar

Tfw no Absolute Beginners album

Young Americans just missed my album list, as Fame just missed my song list

wtf now I want to listen to it

jokes aside, this does appeal more to the eye

I can hear your $1000 monster cables from here turn that shit down or I'll call the cops

>if you're not a peasant then you must be an audiofool
brilliant logic

>caring about how people listen to their music
brilliant logic

Hunky Dory
Station to Station
Heroes
Low
Heathen
