So you see what others are saying, maybe the intro does go on a little long. Still though, the sounds here are beautiful, really nice work. This could work more in the context of the album you put out that said. I actually prefer the intro to the second half but that is more a style thing. Good work either way.

So id say the big pro on this is that it is recorded extremely well. Its even composed well. I just dont know why but I find it a little boring, but at the same time maybe its just the mood I am in today? I left a comment about what I like on the track anyway as opposed to being negative there. You are doing good work for sure.

always good to see people tweaking a song before putting it out. This conjures up a nice and dusty atmosphere - like im in two minds of the recording quality, on one hand it could be clearer, on the other hand it adds that dusty quality. Maybe some of the low mids could be taken down a bit where it becomes stuffy. I think the singing is quite good and could be clearer in the mix, or at least fight less for its place. The run time is a bit long. This could be fixed in one of two ways i think. Your vocal seems to tell an interesting story but to make it easier to catch onto the vocals themselves should sit better in the mix. Or two, changing up the composition a wee bit. The long form reminds me in ways of joanna newsom although you are a world away from her again.

Listening to flying, very cheery track in some ways. Love the chopping and stuttered breakbeat. Some of the highs could be less loud on this track, but that is a small thing. good work.

thanks! i appreciate all the comments. The intro sets up the tone for the majority of the project. Drone music is a big inspiration behind the project and I think that aspect is what made us less worried about certain instrumental sections going on for too long, it was also mostly improvised on the spot. So a happy accident I suppose? Look out for the album next month

Oh man this is so close. Some of this stuff is clipping but there is still so much room in the mix. I think as your mixing improves your ability to make a track like this pop will just increase loads.

At the moment your low end needs more carving, you can hear this little clip click when some of the kicks hit.

Otherwise I think this is a really creative little piece. Good job

I feel the bass is lacking a bit tho, you might be oversaturating the lower frequencies, or compressing them too much. go wild with EQs, learn what frequencies do what, understand the sound as a whole and your production will improve.
