Has there ever been a more dramatic rise and fall?
Has there ever been a more dramatic rise and fall?
...
our fall was the exact opposite of dramatic
it wasn't with a bang, but a whimper
literally any empire, nothing was dramatic about the british empire except the size of it
it rose and fell slow enough that historians don't agree when it started and stopped existing
...
The Hwan Guk empire.
The North Sea Empire :D
mongol, hands down
Nothing quite dramatic about either the rise or the fall of the British Empire. For drama, look to the Huns or the Mongols
Ours was pretty dramatic. If only because nobody would've expected it from the start, and we took a lot of fucking hits until we lost it (including earthquakes, invasions, habsburg jewery, etc), and it only ended with a war against both the US and the USSR's puppets, which we won.
If Portugal won, why did you guys agree to give them all up?
We were spending 1/5th of our GDP per year on our army, and it wasn't sustainable.
We got to a period of control in Angola and Mozambique (and in Guinea Bissau we controlled the only city), but other inurgences were bound to happen.
in 1974 we had a coup d'etat that dethroned the regime and the new guys just thought it had been enough, and pressure from the UN to end the last global empire were strong.
Decolonisation was handled pretty fucking badly, too, but it was either that or letting the commies rule the country, which we narrowly avoided.
>Implying
Nigga even after 476 (which wasn't even a dramatic """"fall""""), the eastern half still survived for almost a thousand years more.
uk fall wasnt dramatic
it was a lame and pitiful castration starting with ww2 and ending with the suez crisis, in which usa ofc as representative of the globalist kike, replaced the uk as the principal tool for world fucking, and realized the spaying of brits
thats not to say their rise was something to celebrate either, since their achievements were financied by bankers and kikes, nothing that brits should be proud of
Surely Alexandra's empire is?
why are panamanians on Sup Forums always so rude to americans and brits
>eastern half
>roman
I think I just got meme'd
>eastern half
>not roman
Greeks are Roman and even they call themselves Roman back then.
>this fucking flip
>Codified laws
>Having a city that is the envy of the world
>Civilized
>Above average Military (>inb4 lost to mudshits)
>Constant civil wars
They may be Greek in language, but they are Roman to the core
bump
Napoleonic Empire
Third Reich
Mongol Empire
basically everything that quickly spread through conquest and then rapidly collapsed, there is nothing dramatic about decolonization
there's nothing dramatic about it, we've just been slowly sagging like a geriatric women's tits for almost a century
...
made me think
What did he mean by this?
