hey fags, pc gamer here.
what vid card do you have? i got the reference 480 last month and it's pretty good. not too noise and always stays between 80c and 90c on load.
can run doom up to 170fps.
what can your masterrace gpu handle?

bday was last month. got a nvid 1070 with the money
Sapphire tri-x r9 290
Runs doom at 110 fps @2560x1080 on max
my GTX 970 can run BF4 on ultra at 120-130 ish FPS, paired with a i5 6600k
Looking to upgrade my GPU in 2 weeks. Have an old 7950 right now. What do you guys recommend? $400 max budget. Thinking of the RX 480
EVGA 780 FTW model
Going to get a 1070 soon probably
Niccce. Was it hard to get your hands on to? Where'd you get it from?
gtx 960 2GB with some desktop pc cpu i3 3220
plays what i want it to pretty well. i dont game much anymore but stuff like source engine games and emulators run nice. id probably only upgrade the cpu in the future. half the money i got for my build was actually thru double dipping on amazon for a refund to get the powersupply and peripherals.
Overclocked GTX 260
Plays modded Skyrim at high settings with 1k res textures which is good enough for now.
Also plays FO4 on med settings.
im from the smallest province in canada actually.
i bet no one else on this island has one.
Im gonna get cfx msi gaming x 480 8g.
2x GTX 1080
Currently waiting for nitro RX 480 to come back into stock
Asus gtx 1070
Smooth frames mate
evga 1070 here, also radeon is shit.
i thought i heard something about nvidia not offering support for sli with 1080s or something like that...
so my initial instinct is to say bs, or you're a fucking retard because there's literally no game in existence that requires anywhere close to that amount of processing power
4 GTX 1080s
Why you would need to run something at 170fps anyway, depending on your monitor refresh rate, you wont see all of it anyway
my monitor is only 60hz...wish it was freesync 144hz.
the high fps makes my mouse slicker than snot on a roasters beek,
its not even necessary to go that high in fps anyway.
the max a human eye can see and interpret what they see, is around 220fps.
i think i remember reading something somewhere that said that we're incapable of distinguishing any fps above 75.
so going beyond that in my mind is a waste of time and money.
console peasant detected
sup user, about to buy 1070 myself. should i bother with ASUS rog or just EVGA. Pretty sure I'm just going to stick with EVGA but gotta check
not quite
just go evga mang, they're cheap as fuck right now anyway. got mine for 450$ i think a couple weeks ago at microcenter
the mouse movement between 75hz and 144hz would make a BIG difference.
it's not just about the high fps its the feel of the game.
Why did you choose AMD over Nvidia?
4x ttx
get a gtx 1060. better than the 480 at around the same price.
Does anyone know if PCI 3.0 cards work in PCI Express 2.0 ports? I've read that they ARE backwards compatible (with a slight hit to performance), but would like a second opinion on that before dropping several hundred bucks to upgrade my system.
dx12 and vulkan kids.
i've owned nvidia and amd, i just go for the best price/performance ratio.
asus strix gtx 1080
the 1080 does only 2 way SLI
Im still running on a EVGA gtx 750 Ti
its starting to get dated but it was a great budget card
Those temps seem a little too high for my liking. Im getting a msi 1060 gaming x this week
They are backwards compatible. The performance hit is negligible at most
Excellent. I appreciate the input.
I still got my gtx 980ti, runs everything on max
i actually ment 80c to 85c during heavy load.
