It's Christmas Eve and we're sweating like mad. Discuss music from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, etc.
Currently listening to "A divina comédia ou ando meio desligado" for the first time. Might be my favorite release by them so far.

The first side of Divina Comédia is awesome, then it fails to excite a little bit. That ending track though

I really enjoy Quicksilver Messenger Service, Food, and some early Pink Floyd. I specifically like really atmospheric stuff that's not particularly "drum" heavy and more ambient, like Gone Again by QMS and the second half to leaves by food. Any Latin psych recs for me?
Try "El jardín de los presentes" and "Comfort y música para volar", although it may not be that similar to what you listed, its psychedelic and mellow. Right now I'm having trouble thinking of specific albums that are psychedelic in that ambient sort of way throughout the whole record, but more of individual songs. Anyway, some tracks:

That album (Gal's s/t debut) is in my top 10 for sure, killer track after killer track. Perfect mix of 60s psych-pop and Brazilian music, and HER VOCALS. Man, I love Tropicália
