MERRY CHRISTMAS
AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
me and a friend bought horrors tickets like 7 years ago, they were playing at a really small venue (like 200 people max, maybe more). we also bought mars volta tickets, who were scheduled to play the night after at a different venue. the promoters decided to change the venue (and date) of the mars volta show, which ended up being on the same night as when the horrors played
we ended up selling our horrors tickets to our friends (the show sold out within an hour or something retarded like that). anyway, the promoters for mars volta fucked up big time by transferring them to a bigger venue that didnt get anywhere near close to selling out. the show was alright, but the band were ultra bored, like no energy, not into it, ect. it was a bit of a buzzkill. meanwhile our friends that we sold tickets to said the horrors show was "fucking amazing"
i ended up seeing the horrors a few days later at a festival and their set ended up getting rained out (the rain started to pour down on an angle due to wind blowing towards the stage, soaking all of their pedals and shit)
i dont know why i decided to type out this wall of autism, probably because im drunk, but thinking of the horrors still makes me salty to this day.
post post-metal/metalgaze
lol shit is hard nigga
any madcunts in
best general indeed
what did you listen to during these christmas times, friends
I would post mine but it wasn't very shugazi
I've had some stories like this. Feels bad.
I saw them in 2010 and it was fucking unreal. Merry Christmas user.
bump
the fauns while driving around a lot up neighborhood
was good
*lit up
average age itt: 13
Are they still good to see live?
I have only listened to Primary Colours and would have to assume their energy has died down.
what does shugazi think of m83?

...
So is deafheaven actually going to do a collaboration with shlohmo or was that just an idea they tweeted?
is anyone gonna post some decent shoegaze or is this general just going to remain shit for the rest of its existence
u ever listen to loveless
its REALLY good
That album's actually their real masterpiece. Strongest moods in their whole discography.

Thanks for sharing this, user.
seance, guys..
Early stuff is good, new stuff not so good.
Regardless, dead cities is their only really good shoegaze-y album so they shouldn't be discussed here.
this is pretty good
it's like twee in how amateur and unsure it sounds but its good

whats this?
I like /shugazi/ but /dark/ was better. too bad it's dead.

>as good as this whole damn shoe-gaze business gets
>3 stars
this triggered me on multiple levels, Christmas ruined
lol my shit sounds like fuc
i have two distortion pedals and a crate amp
Underated album
Are there any non-shoegaze songs you all would love to hear a shoegaze cover of?
I've always wanted to hear Hounds of Love put under layers of distortion and feedback.
That really long song off the Stooges' s/t
Chorus and old multi-fx into a vox.
I'd like to see something sparse like A Forest by The Curr turned into all that lovely shoegaze denseness.
All Star
>tfw just ordered two cheap pedals, one for distortion and one for reverse reverb
I hope this works.
more like coaltar of the deepers? enjoyed visitors and no thank you
That long song with the noise section is not ambitious sounding enough or spacy enough to warrant a noise section
fuck all that label shit all the amateur unpolished bandcamp shit is where the real interesting shugazi is at
ok
real patrician niggas be goin through bandcamp and discogs for their shit
i wanna be sedated
Weird aggression aside, I do have a soft spot for bedroom projects of any genre. There's just something very cool and comfy about someone making some music exactly how they want it and putting it out there just for the sake of doing so.
What'd you get?
Is "post-metal" even a genre?
What kind of dark was that?
What was /dark/ about? Goth rock and dark ambient type stuff?
I've got
Guitar >compression >bass synth >Slow-motion >noise-gate with fuzz and distortion in it's own loop >delay >amp with internal reverb cranked.
Looking to buy an Electro-Harmonix Cathedral for that reverse reverb soon.
Behinger EM600 and MXR M69
Like I said they're cheap, but I'm not going for a perfect sound. I just want to experiment.
