Matches (Brit timezone)

These are the preliminaries?

>mfw Japan gets the gold

>bong standard time

Oh nice, didn't realise this starts today

Other than Brazil, who's worth watching?

Portugal vs Argentina and Mexico vs Germany will probably be great games. Japan for the weebs.

>we don't have a team but fucking Fiji do

Anyone die yet?

Here.

Jocks wouldn't allow it

Portugal will get BTFO we are playing with our "Z" Team.
Literally we only managed to call up 17 players, out of the 18 needed we don't even have a right back...

It's just glorified u23 football.

>under 23 tournament in the olympics

Literally who gives a fuck

Tor: Timo Horn, Jannik Huth

Abwehr: Robert Bauer, Matthias Ginter, Lukas Klostermann, Philipp Max, Niklas Süle, Jeremy Toljan

Mittelfeld: Lars Bender, Sven Bender, Julian Brandt, Max Christiansen, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka, Max Meyer, Grischa Prömel

Angriff: Nils Petersen, Davie Selke

let the battle of literal who's begin

Yeah? It's because of the meme rules we got. Home Nation Rule thing means that 6 people have to vote to approve a joint team for Olympics. FIFA has 3 votes. Then there is 4 from, England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. So you need 3 of them to greenlight the thing.

But, apparently Ireland wants to join the Commonwealth, so we might make some headway on it since Ireland would probably get Home Nations rule for FIFA like they do for Ruggers.

England particularly wishes we could join the Olympics, because it would allow us to try out meme formations and fringe players in tournament settings.

Alas, Scotland and Northern Ireland blocked it every year bar 2012. Then Taylor didn't even take Beckham.

you've literally no idea what you're talking about. the voting system you're describing applies to the ifab, which is in charge of the rules of the game. the decision to form an unified team lies solely with the home nations

Where the fuck is Serbia? Didn't they win u20 world cup?

world cup doesn't count for the IOC

Are Nigerians all 30 yrs old or something like tha?

Who are the senior players?

Thats actually a solid team. Better than Argentina who had literally everyone decent pull out.

here Sup Forums made you a chart
(you can remove female football if you like i made extra space between the two just in case you dont want it)

meh i have argentina coming first in their group and germany not even making it out. german players look disinterested

>>A
Brazil,Denmark
>>B
Japan,Colonbia
>>C
Germany,Mexico
>>D
Argentina,Algeria

right?

Nigeria will 100% advance. The other spot is between Colombia and Japan.

but, Nigeria have not arrived Brazil yet, and play against Japan tomorrow.

How the fuck is this still happening?

What time does the US play?

I am here as fuck. Where can I get a jersey?

I know GB can't qualify because we play separately in normal international football, but how do you qualify for this?

Germany Got this

Oh nice didn't know we were playing today

Park that bus Ruizinho.

Post yfw you realize that germanys U21 backup keepers are better than Joe Hart

Both Benders (tee-hee) and Petersen

Why is the swimming so comfy to watch lads?

youtube.com/watch?v=CkGtGRNBD8I&feature=youtu.be

I am better than Joe Hart.

Fair point

everything bar team sports are pretty comfy to watch. but rowing is nerve wracking as fuck to watch, even as a german.

Are there any other events on right now? I'm watching the swimming trials

no I think the football in several hours will be the first event.

Too bad pep didn't let nachos play for Nigeria

>japan again
wew lads.

I still remember the 4-0 last WC.

>Grischa Prömel
kek even I don't know that guy

I don't rate the European teams.

we are going to lose in the final

or against germany if we encounter them before

>23:00 BST
Reeeeeeeeee

...

Shame most clubs didn't allow our best players to be called. We would have a legitimate chance of winning this

Your team might not even make it out of group stage. Hell, Germany might not either.

get good

thank god, i dont wanna ruin my olympics with our football team.
plenty of other sports to get pissed at.

>Sweden play most of their matches in Manaus
rigged

>NBC isn't showing the Mexico v Germany match until 11:30pm

Chicanos on suicide watch

>watching NBC coverage ever
You're the only loser here kid

Rio being a disaster was just a reddit meme right?

>The National stream delay Broadcasting Channel

CHI

>refusing to watch tape delays is a chicano thing

A Brazilian meme. We like to shit on events we organize. Then there's negative hype. Then there's nothing and they turn out decent, like the World Cup.

>opening game without the host

BPL starts next week no one gives a shit about Parasite Olympics

So now that skateboarding will be in the olympics, should it be moved here from /asp/?

Argentina doesn't have a manager and only were able to call SIX PLAYERS. I think you can manage to beat a team literally made last week.

>no such thing as Team GB

The olympics are racist

fucking casual

>tfw canada didn't have enough rowers to make a team for the eights

I hate my country

do someone have a livestream ?

d2a87cccb12043603fa3c05ea0cfc1e560bbd266

Is Germany ready to get cucked by shitskins? Oh wait that's already happening.

Even though we have our Z team, a part from Paciência (still useful) and the literally who as the RB, we have a decent team. Only about André Martins (looking good) and Podstawski (didn't like him on the last international matches, even though he commanded the NT on the u19 in 2014) I keep some doubts
