Regardless, this event shows that once sides have been made, people who are somewhat neutral will get swept out into either side. Some Honey10s, for example, are saying that Somi has a flat chest and blaming her as in "why didn't she move backwards??", some IOI/Somi stans are calling him a rapist or a predator and now the situation has devolved into "if you're not with us, you're against us.", making taking sides a higher priority than everything.
Up10tion fans can certainly defend his actions without blaming Somi and in process making fool of themselves. Somi fans, too, can bring up the issues without resorting to extremes - wait out for a week, wait for clarifications, seek more about the issue and their work histories, etc. There's so much that can go wrong when fans rely on a video to make a character judgement. Is there a chance that he's being a creep? I guess... if you think so. But this internet rage helps nothing but the fans' own righteous anger. It won't help Somi either, what with the hate getting her way too. Please buy tickets for Lovelyz concert.
Of course that doesn’t mean that Somi can’t feel uncomfortable about what happened anyway, bcs we know about, for example, senior female idols' warnings to younger ones about creepy male seniors, underage idols (male and female) getting scouted up by "sponsors", SNL Korea's case that remained unknown for so long, videos of male idols getting groped by the fans in public places, etc. Only god knows about all the shady shit that has happened in Korean entertainment industry.
