The Black Album is usually only remembered because of the massive singles it had, but overall it is a solid record IMO. As I said before, deeper cuts like The God That Failed, The Struggle Within, Through The Never, Holier Than Thou and Of Wolf And Man are all pretty good.

I enjoy some of the throwback songs (Hardwired, spit out the bone) but it doesn't hold a candle to the old records, that's impossible for them to really achieve. A lot of the "edge" to those albums comes from their hatred for themselves and others.
