Beyonce
Naia Izumi's fairly different musically, her work is more math-pop/soul revival but her voice and singing style remind me a lot of Bjork's:
I suggest listening to Tori Amos if you like Bjork. Not entirely similar, but if you liked Homogenic a lot you might like Under The Pink by Tori Amos.
Also, if you liked Post and Debut, check out The Sugarcubes if you haven't (Bjork's band)
Are all of Valravn's songs similar to Bjork's or just this one? Either way, beautiful song.
listen to La Priest
get out
john maus
The new Bjork: Grimes. Shame that original Bjork didn't release a decent album for ages.
it's grimes
Vulnicura was a fantastic album, and Volta wasn't bad either.
RADIOHEAD IS NOT LIKE BJORK AT ALL GODDAMNIT
These...
Except fuck you. Volta is Bjork's only dud.
yeah radiohead is actually good
>The 'Grimes is the new Bjork' meme.
G.C. you're a really cool guy but c'mon, they're not that similar.
[Also the dud was Medulla, Volta was pretty tight]
no it's the other away around
They don't have to be musically similar. They're both the most worthy representatives of the alt/art pop scene in their respective decades.
Also, Medulla is one of her best.
i guess if your deaf
Ohhhh, alright, yeah that makes more sense. Sorry.
Where, roughly, would you rank Medulla?
Homogenic > Vespertine > Post > Medulla > Biophilia > Debut > Vulnicura > Volta
>Debut that low
Do you really wanna hurt me? Do you REALLY wanna see me cry?
(Just kidding I don't get bitter over other opinions)
Mine:
Homogenic>Biophilia>Vespertine>Debut>Post>Vulnicura>Volta>Medulla
I can respect that order. Biophilia is underrated.
I can respect yours, I just wanna ask a question or two.
Why is Debut lower on your list? And what appeals to you most about Medulla?
Sorry, I have no idea. I can only name talented people who choose to be poppier than Bjerk thus are more famous than her, or are simply better.
Tujiko Noriko
Debut is a good album, but it's far too straightforward for my liking.
As far as Medulla goes, it's just a very creative (though admittedly "gimmicky") album where Bjork showcases her vocal capabilities.
I can understand Debut.
Medulla I just felt like it was too simple for me. I never personally liked acapella because just vocals is 'too simple' (I like a lot of layered production).
Post > Homogenic > Vespertine > Debut > Medu'lla
I hate GNOME and how they stole my compose key. The replacement doesn't even work.
But she does takes the a capella sound to a new level on Medulla. I can understand where you're coming from though.

2009/10-era Gaga
Thom Yorke's solo material is very similar to Bjork though
fka twigs nigga
Homogenic>Vulnicura>Post>Biophilia>Debut>Vespertine=Volta>Medulla
new Emily Wells seems like she's going for the bork thing
>tfw if 2016 takes Bjork before the end of the year
She'll be fine?
