What's up with K-Pop?

I mean, can somebody explain to me why is so damn popular around here?

Its just fun man
Catchy music that draws inspiration from pretty much every popular form of music from the last 60 years
Amazing choreography 80% of the time
Cute girls and guys
Almost all of the singers are on variety shows where you get to see them in funny social situations and sorta grow a connection with them like you would characters from a sitcom you love

there's just so many venues for entertainment within the kpop umbrella, its great

I guess K-Pop is not for me then. I don't find the music "catchy" (can't deny the inspiration part since I'm not a fan), I don't find the girls attractive, I don't give a damn variety shows...

K-pop fans = top tier
