Cerberus Shoal - Mr. Boy Dog

Jacks - Vacant World

>2500x3546
Ossian - Księga chmur

omg i love ur taste can we get married

Here's the hot 9 I've been listening to recently, that I really liked. Would love some more recs based on this.

(me)
can you believe this is the low quality version of this chart? lol

thanks for the rec :3

i may be a little confused about my taste

i love the vulnerable male singer stuff like Mt. Eerie + Sufjan (this is why i liked blonde so much) but I find straight up guy and guitar stuff extremely boring. And I guess sort of a sensitive voice is a necessity as well. i'm going to try and check out nick drake next

and also banging/pseudo-experimental rap as well. Rodeo is my AOTY 2015

Surprisingly enough I am not 14.

Wouuld like some recs from you desu

This is good

It looks like you took most of the pictures yourself.
You'd probably like Mall Punks or Youth Novel

Listen to Clarence Clarity

idk kinda fucking generic

Long Fin Killie - Valentino

Whitney - Light Upon The Lake
Tom Petty - Damn The Torpedos

cool
Hosono House

I just got filmstruck yesterday and watched Autumn Sonata and it's the most amazing thing ever.

you might have a thing for zach hill

your definition of generic is kinda broken

i have gotten rusty on my slowcore
how does crescent compare to movietone
listen to zelienople if you haven't
what do you know about woo
why isn't pram on your chart
hey this is pretty good
have you listened to smegma
what's the album with tthe kalimba on it
also how doese that AMM compare to 1966
vermonster- spirit of YMA
gowns- red state
steven r smith- autumn is the end
blues control- puff

Some recs to expand my limited scope would be appreciated.

Indian Summer - Science 1994

prurient- black vase

>what's the album with tthe kalimba on it
Various Artists - Africa: Shona Mbira Music

>also how doese that AMM compare to 1966
well, it's way different than 1966, very diverse and with elements of lowercase just like The Inhexaustible Document. If you're gonna listen to it, be sure to focus on the music to catch up the brilliance and subtletly of the album.

Circa Survive - On Letting Go
Ween - The Mollusk
Mastodon - Crack the Skye
The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute
Hella - Hold Your Horse Is
Dinosaur Jr. - Without a Sound

Liked the new Tribe called quest album, Danny Brown is okay, I think Earl is on my chart (he should be). I like other stuff significantly more.

Svitlana Nianio - Kytytsi
Grazhdanskaya Oborona - Зaчeм cнятcя cны?
Γιάννης Αγγελάkας & Νίkος Βελιώτης - Οι ανάσες των λύkων

Crescent has the same mellow subdued sound as movietone, but I'd say it's more post-rocky compared to movietones more slowcore sound. The album I have on my chart though, "Now" starts off the album with a noise rock track. By the roads and fields sounds like the second half of "Now" and Collected Songs is what I'd imagine Joy Division would sound like if they were making music today.

>have you listened to smegma
No I have not! I'll definitely check out :)

>tfw i can never make one of these because i only like 4 albums ever

really liking Light Upon the Lake

Then just make a 4 album chart

ooo sounds interesting
i am taking a closer look at your chart and realizing even more how cool it is
can i ask why you prefer movietone s/t over day and night?
i need to listen to comets on fire, six organs is really good
also what do you think of skullflower
none of us have actually listened to music before
oh boy you are in for a treat
start with their first one and go chronologically

evil empire - RATM

wobble factor - tipper

pablo honey - radiohead

+1 street sects, aoty
Ysssssssss
Is that Kero Kero album any good? I'm guessing you obviously think so
DFA +1

What makes it theatrical btw?

if these artists are in your TOP ONE HUNDRED (100) ALBUMS OF ALL TIME, you have not listened to enough music:
death grips
grimes
sufjan stevens
jordaan mason
andrew jackson jihad
kendrick lamar
chvrches
almost any artist (and certainly any album) that has been a Sup Forums flavor of the month for the past year or four really

thats not to say albums by these artists are without merit, just that youre simply ignoring an entire world of music thats of has much more depth and quality

that said there are a lot of nice charts itt for a change.

nice
be my gf?

have you listened to the rest of too pures catalog yet
most of their artists from early on are all as good as pram or better

can am des puig

nice

nice

wooden wand - the flood
spires that in the sunset rise
can am des puig

nice

japan - tin drum
smog - julius caesar

strange

I can respect that. I'm surprised there's no Sigur Ros on there.
Hmm. Maybe, I'll give it a listen.
Yus. :3
Translation: I have to wait enough years for Pitchfork to give an album's reissue a 10 before I can consider enjoying it.
Half of it is post-rock and even the stuff that isn't has a concept or a grand climatic sound.

someones projecting their pitchfork reading onto me....

ive only ever read their review of lateralus because its hilarious

>someones projecting their pitchfork reading on me...
I've read half of a Pitchfork article this year and it was their AotY list. I couldn't finish it.

Eric's Trip - Love tara

Caetano Veloso - Transa

your taste makes me think otherwise bud...

This is me, fuck it i'm using a name now.

Shuggie Otis - Inspiration Information
Tatsuro Yamashito - Spacy

Gary Wilson - You Think You Really Know Me
Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - The Doldrums (if you haven't heard it)
Ween - The Mollusk

Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Before Today
Ryuichi Sakamoto - Thousand Knives
Hosono House
Anri - Timely!!
AnCo

Crying - Beyond the Fleeting Gales
David Byrne - Feelings
Brian Eno - Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)
Talking Heads discography (start with 77)

have I listened to "enough" music? thinking Ariel Pink might ruin that :^)

This Will Destroy You - S/T

Essentially.

...

ariel pink isnt that bad. i dont automatically hate all new music, user

So can you give me the layman's definition of post-rock?

I'd say he was a flavor of the month type for a while on Sup Forums, wasn't he?

I tried Ludus from your chart holy shit this is amazing

Me.

(me)
Hello! listened to I'm So Hollow, was super rad.

Can't tell you why I prefer Danger Came Smiling to Seduction/Visit :/ sorry!

I've heard some of those recs, but I'll check Zeerox and Catherine Ribeiro + 2Bis you cool guy you~

cool! Listen to both The Seduction and The Visit next :)

new thread

ariel pinks not new

the rest of their discog is great too

hm i guess that is somewhat true
