Out of those bands, I'm a big fan of the misfits, descendents, black flag and bad religion. Op ivy is probably my favourite punk band, and even though Sup Forums doesn't really like them, Nofx is a band I'm very fond of.
and I forgot it was in another thread I said I just discovered it ten minutes ago so thats why I posted the addendum

Baby's first punk thread on Sup Forums.
You mentioned Iggy twice but I like you kid. You got good taste in music.
Check out pic related if you haven't done so already.
You're welcome.
If you like Dropkick Murphys and to a lesser extent The Pogues maybe you should check out Shane McGowen's first band.
Never heard of this band or album?
Check it out. You won't be sorry.
Do you like Oi! music?
This is a classic.
So you like The Stooges and The Bad Brains? The Sex Pistols Ramones and Dead Boys? Early Clash?
Then this album belongs in your collection.
This shit was recorded before ANY of those bands ever existed. This shit will blow your mind.
Oh boy! Did I ever blow it big time!
THIS is the album I meant to post!
Did I mention that these songs were recorded between 1972-1976?
Nothing against Bad Religion but that was the wrong picture!
Daily reminder that all punk rock is now dad rock
Although not officially considered a "Punk" band per se they were very popular with the first generation of punk rockers in 1977 sand there's a definite punk attitude in their music especially the first two albums.
If you like The Buzzcocks Ramones Damned and Sex Pistols and the first Clash album (The British version not the U.S.version) you might like The Jam.
Die Kreuzen s/t is the best punk album of all time
got some bad news for ya buddy

recorded July 1972
and also I'm not seeing anything about 1972 here

just to put this to rest once and for all
>no Bad Brains
He did say bad brains you fuckup
Aussie punk here. Local bands i like: Clowns, the Bennies, Dune Rats, Frenzal Rhomb, Cosmic Psychos, Cosmic Kahuna, Private Function, The Meanies and more.
Internationay the Offspring, NOFX, Rancod, Op Ivy, Bad Brains, Desendents, Adolescents and Ramones
Yeah, sorry about that. I meant as in his band and then his solo stuff. I like a lot of different music, but punk is by far my favourite. I have been listening to it for a while but theres always more great stuff out there. Thanks to you and everyone else on this thread for all the bands- Good stuff. (I'm sorry for the cheesiness)
I don't see what the bad news is. The Hackney brother caught The Stooges more than once in their prime I assume.
>Still uses Wikipedia for factual information.
Instead of using a site that has a reputation of not getting the facts straight a good majority of the time how about instead watching the documentary about the band itself?
I don't see what the bad news is here.
Iggy and The Stooges were great and I'm sure The Hackney Brothers saw at least one of their shows when The Stooges were still based in Ann Arbor. Thanks for posting the video though.
>No mention of The Saints Radio Birdman or Celibate Rifles?
because the documentary is a white guilt piece pushing this mediocre band from obscurity to the "inventors of punk", when the band is a, nothing special and b, not punk rock at all
...
Well at least you didn't challenge the facts of the film even though I find your excuse pretty flimsy.
And when you think about it assuming you don't strain yourself when you do punk rock is supposed to be mediocre and nothing special and if you think Death IS mediocre and nothing special then that makes them punk as fuck doesn't it?
i think quite the opposite, bands that i like: GISM, rudimentary peni, discharge, to me are unique.
death is overrated, not by talent but because of circumstance
