Didn't see one in the catalog so I decided to start one.
ETIQUETTE - Include correct format (artist / band, title of release, year of release, cover art, the file type (v0, 320 mp3, FLAC, etc), short description, YouTube sample, link) - Send thanks if you have downloaded something to let them know they did a good thing - Avoid sharing / requesting things that are already on the archive - Soulseek / rutracker are your friends, too - just don't argue in this thread about it - No samples on YouTube, Soundcloud? Drag'n'drop any mp3 on clyp.it
REQUESTS >I have a request! Did I... - Check the archive for a live link before requesting? - Share something first? - Google "blogspot + artist name + album name"
ARCHIVE >"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive" - Go here: >>>>>>>>>archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/ - When searching, limit your search to links only, like so: "desired album mega|zippyshare|mediafire|slacktunes" - Make sure you've typed "zippyshare" and not "zippy", or else Zippyshare links will not be found.
Been a while since I've posted something here. I had planned to upload a crap ton of rare LPs on Christmas since I haven't uploaded anything here for a while, but unfortunately my amplifier started acting retarded and fucked up the recordings. I do have something else, however:
Samples (check the tracklist in the description, I highly suggesting listening to Tracks 2, 4, and 5): youtube.com/watch?v=vUqAaOjmXyI
I've posted other Jam Trip albums on here before, but for those of you who don't remember or know, "Jam Trip" was a series of albums from the 80s created by Nippon Columbia that was dedicated to making jazz or funk rearranged versions of music from old anime shows. Only a few albums in the series were ever released on CD, and the vinyl-only releases are incredibly hard to find...
There were 4 Jam Trip releases for the show "Urusei Yatsura", the first one being one of the only few to have a CD release. A kind Discogs user who goes by the name of "MatteoL" was kind enough to provide me with the raw recordings of all those 4 albums (ripped straight from his vinyl copies), and I have taken the time to try and clean the audio for each album.
Enjoy! I will have the other 3 albums posted in a bit.

Teen Suicide - Bonus EP [FLAC] >lo-fi, emo, hints of electronic influence
Hidden Orchestra - Wingbeat (2016) [320kbps] >Downtempo, Nu-Jazz, Modern Classical. It's an EP but still 41-minutes long, so you can still add this release on your AOTY list. Sample: youtu.be/mEoUWnrb6J8 Download: www102.zippyshare.com/v/jSja2ZRa/file.html
Requesting Richard Pinhas & Merzbow - Keio Line (2016)
Sebastian Kelly
Sonny Sharrock - Ask the Ages (1991) >Post-bop, avant garde jazz >The final album by one of jazz guitar's most abrasive and innovative players, best known outside of the jazz world for the theme to Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Also features some great playing by Pharoah Sanders. youtube.com/watch?v=uUfE9nv7IrQ
Samples (check the tracklist in the description; I would suggest listening to Tracks 01, 04, and 05): youtube.com/watch?v=YQp-3acS5L8
This is the final Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura album. Unlike the previous 3 albums, this album was performed by a different band (it appears this was the only album they ever performed, apparently). I like how the band took a different approach to performing the music by playing it in a funky style compared to the previous 3 albums, but it would've been better if some of the songs weren't so long...
Enjoy!
