Video games' revenue model is to get large amounts of money from a fairly narrow minority of people. Film's revenue model is to get $10 from everyone. Video game movies combine the worst of both models, since only gamers see them and they're paying a lot less per capita then they do for the games. This isn't rocket science. Why can't Hollywood figure it out?
