Keep on doin' what you're doin', don't feel pressured to release another album too quickly, do live shows, etc
>I would suggest him to make something more ambitious because what he makes has potential
Thank you Gub! I know you enjoy my more experimental tracks and unfortunately i can't guarantee i'll keep pursuing that route but i do appreciate that comment
My favorite artists i have ever found through these threads is The Baddest Beams. Do yourself a favor and listen to his EP, it still holds true after three years. I dont have any advice for him tbhfam
I am going to happily take you up on your advice. If only you were in Texas, we've got two shows coming up soon

Be back with recs in a sec
I have relatives in Texas! Some day the stars may align. We unfortunately don't visit them that often.
As for what I'm up to these days, I'm feeling pretty comfy with where I want to take my music next. The stuff I make in the future will be designed so that I can play it live. Basically, it'll be backing tracks that I can play guitar and sing and stuff on top of. That way, I can keep the weird sounds that are part of my music while still being able to perform live. And you?
That sounds excellent dude. What are the chances of you recruiting a live band?
I'm basically just doing what you said to do, though thank God i have a chromebook now and can record again. I've really missed being able to do so. Thanks for asking

I might indeed recruit a live band. It'd probably be my friends, who are all into music as well.
This is my friend's EP, I've been listening to it for the past couple months and I'm excited for it to be put together and released. I hope you give it a listen and like it, and support my friend just by listening.

even oxen is too good for these threads :(

FOCUS
Are you anywhere near Spring? We're playing our next two shows at the Blue Giraffe, one this saturday and another on the 14th
Lorde pls notice me
Thanks so much brothers. If you honestly mean that then i can't wait to see what you bring to the table this next year. I'm always inspired by everyone's ambition.
So spoil it for me, guys. What's your next project going to be like?
Lol no, there definitely will be, its just that isn't what comes to my mind when i think of ambitious music
>what's your next project going to be like?
Hodegetria here, planning on making a more ambient, sparse soundscape, longer-form tracks, loads of new effects (got pedals for Christmas), and the concept is music for waiting, a sort of "vigil" through noise
also been playing a lot with projectors (pic related); maybe a light/sound installation is in my future
>So spoil it for me, guys. What's your next project going to be like?
the same as my last 3, boring midi synths and stock drum sounds playing awkward chord progressions, occasionally no chord progression.
Its a car ride away, but I'll try to make it

My cousins attempt at ambient music. Asked another person about it on 4 chan and they told me that its "Its incredible simple, but you know it really isnt bad."
Just listened to the first two songs. Pretty good stuff right up my alley. My only critique so far would be maybe make the lady talking in the second song slightly louder it was hard to hear her sometimes but that may have been the point, and as far as the album art goes I probably would have put the guy on the bike in the middle above the words since the eyes are naturally drawn to him.
Keep up the good work though going to download.
oh...
well lame. I get it though. If I was trying to keep my id secret and someone doxxed me I'd leave too.

just mostly modern classical/post-rock kind of stuff like the single you heard, but there will me more ambient based pieces.
That's great user, just keep sharing your bandcamp link but make sure to give feedback yourself. In the end it keeps the thread alive long enough for others to have a chance to see your project (or do what everyone else does and refuse to post until a new thread starts and you're first in line)
I really think Pleasance House is going to make it big. His quality is on par with professional musicians and his music can back it up too. I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen by 2018
