Shameful OP

there are some amazing fucking tracks on BNooS but they don't really come together that well.

What's the difference between 'god tier' and amazing tier'? I have an artist I wanna do but I can't figure out which albums should go where.

Below M&A though? I like both but as you say BNooS has some amazing tracks on it.

Props for ranking Long Drive at #1 though.

God tiers are like 10-high 9s
Amazings are probably more like low 9s-low 8s.

Alright, thank you.
Making one for Bowie.

>strangers to ourselves

LIterally what the actual le fuck is this album

I just listened to Building Something the other day for the first time in years. It might be my favorite of their work, honestly.
Wasn't it just a collection of songs, not really an album? I assume that's why it isn't very cohesive.

>not including SSS

>muh fevoreet bend is mudast mooase

For me anything I would put in god tier is my top 10 albums. Amazing tier is an album you really like, but it doesn't make that cut. The tiers are kind of arbitrary and unnecessary too.

Idk, but I think I stand by my decision. To be honest those two are closer than any other two in the ranking. TLCW is an amazing album, but people spamming it here are p4k drones who probably never listened to long drive.

Exai is god tier, to be honest

Thanks again for the clarification.

B sides/EP compilation iirc.

Also Broke might be my favourite song of all time.

Yeah it's actually a compilation album of their earlier work. If you like it check out Interstate 8 (EP.)

I was just doing albums. I don't love SSS as much as the top 4, but I think that, interstate 8 and Everywhere and his nasty parlour tricks are better than the stuff at the bottom

That record is bizarre. Half poetic beauty and half recorded nonsense via telephone messages.

Don't think it's fair to rank it 2bh, not OP either.

SSS is an album tho

Isaac hated himself at MM's primest. Current Isaac doesn't even know what he's doing

Your taste is unusual but repectable

He hated Sad Sappy Sucker in 2001, when it was pushed out. Isaac shelved that album for a reason.

8 years for Strangers, and that had 3-4 memorable tracks at a push.

The guy has lost it.

Forgot Phone Power. That goes in the Good Tier

Current Isaac is him post-TM&A. You shouldn't listen to that one.

>we're lucky lads
>I GOT A PISTOL IN MY CAR UH HUH
>god is an indian and you're an asshole get on your horse and ride

I think you knew it would be shit when the first track was shit. Pretty much every MM album the opener is a top 3 track and a contender for 1 (dramamine, teeth like god's shoeshine, 3rd planet, never ending math equation, world at large, march into the sea.) Hell, the first 3 are probably all top 15 MM period.

I remember being fucking hyped at the small jam of Pups to Dust in that documentary of Isaac's house

Then as expected, the studio version came out overproduced and bland

>God tier
Deathcrush
Live in Leipzig
De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas
The Dawn of the Black Hearts

>Fail tier
Everything else.

I completely understand why MM became a bit more pop... I remember the interview with Isaac when he said "muh bills to pay".

studio version is still one of the best songs they've done since m&a

It's a good tune, it's just sad hearing all this crisp instrumentation, generic rhythm, song structure and all that jazz as a result of spending years producing a record when prime MM was "indie rock" at its absolute finest.

He has admittedly released a few belters recently though, King Rat for example.

Nothing in this thread is unknown. Far from, in fact.
And I don't even listen to Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, and what I assume are Autachre or however it's spelled or what I assume is Mayhem.

TMBG I recognized because I know the album names and what the Johns' cute faces look like.
