Do any of you fucking faggots want to discuss where you live/places you have lived and what it's like there...

Do any of you fucking faggots want to discuss where you live/places you have lived and what it's like there? What you like/dislike about it? And where you'd most like to live? If so, post a reply.

I currently live in Arizona, in a small town about 80 miles north of Phoenix, but I work in Scottsdale, which borders Phoenix. And I was born and raised in Chandler, Az, which an East Valley suburb of the Phoenix Metro area. So I'm basically a lifelong Arizonan. Other than Arizona, the only other placed I've lived is the Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida, area, where I lived for about 5 years, and while I have always been proud to be an Arizona native, I must say that I really miss the Tampa/Palm Harbor area where I live and worked from 2007-2012. The humidity fucking sucked, but the people there were really nice and I loved my job, so I often think about trying to move back there.

So with the thought of possibly trying to move to another part of the country within the next year or so, I'm curious what some other good places to live might be? Or, if any of you have lived in the Tampa area, is it as great as I think it was? Or is Arizona as great as many people think it is, and I should be more appreciative of being fortunate enough to be living here in Az?

If you feel like replying and sharing some thoughts or personal experiences about good places to live in America, please feel free to reply.

As for preferences/necessities and things that I enjoy doing and would like to be around/have available, I deal poker for a living, so casinos/gaming/poker rooms is important. I also like to fish (freshwater only, but I've heard that saltwater fishing is also lots of fun), so lakes/rivers/streams/ponds would be nice. And beaches are definitely cool. And I would also like to live in a relatively safe area, with some mom n' pops stores around, as I like to live more of a modest lifestyle with friendly people around.

Well, it seems as though there's no interest in this topic. So, fuck y'all.

North Jersey- great public transportation, tons of shit to do, close to NYC

Houston-low col, tons of areas for driving & outdoor activities, food scene, jobs

SD-weather & women but literally no jobs, no apartments

Thanks for replying.

As for North Jersey, isn't the cost of living there likely going to be high? Also, isn't much/most of NJ pretty shitty with ghetto cities all over the fucking place? or am wrong about that?

Houston does seem like it would be a cool place to live, but, to my knowledge, there isn't any legal gaming/casinos in the area, so I don't know what I might be able to do to make a decent living.

As for San Diego, they do have casinos/poker rooms there, and most people seem to love it there, but I've heard that the cost of living in/around San Diego is fucking outrageous. Like, comparable to the San Francisco area, which is fucking ridiculous, from what I gather.

I'm curious, have you lived or spent time in all of these cities/areas? And where do you live now? Also, do you like it where you live now? If so, why? And if not, why not? Also, have you been to Arizona or Florida? If so, what are your thoughts on these two states?

A view of the Papagao Mountains near the Scottsdale/Phoenix border looking towards Phoenix.

NJ is the most segregated state in the US. The suburbs are super safe & the blacks are bordered in the 5 ghetto cities

Houston is only an hour away from lake Charles, bunch of casinos there.

SD is comparative to LA in col might be a bit cheaper.

NJ- 24 years
HTX-5 years
SD-2

Not from America but whatever

I live in Melbourne, in a suburb called Essendon which is in the inner west. Its a pretty great city to live in but its being overtaken by hipsters and asians.

Yes we do make good coffee and are snobby about it. Weather is fucking shit most of the year but our summer can be ok. Other than that its one of the best sporting cities in the world and is good if you live in inner suburbs, if not you're in the middle of fucking nowhere.

Barcelona. Too much guiris.

Where is lake Charles? Louisiana? Also, where do you live now? What's been your favorite place to live? And what do you do for work?

Have you been to America? If so, did you like it? If not, why not? Btw, what's so bad about the weather there? And what do you for work? Also, are the bugs/creatures as out of control and scary as they seem to be? And have you seen a wombat in person? Or do you have one as a pet?

Yeah, it's in LA. Drive farther on East & you'll hit New Orleans.

Houston is in a good location. Drive west, you'll hit austin, north Dallas, south Galveston beach

Thanks for replying again. What did you do for a living while in Houston? Are there good/decent general job opportunities in the Houston area? And did you spend much/any time in the ghettos there? From what I gather, Houston has some really fucking rough parts of town. Like, Detroit/Chicago-level type shit.

I live in Lithuania, Vilnius, it's ok to live in here literally, but the country itself is kinda fucked cuz gov.

Pacific Northwest, I love it here. Having lived in various towns & cities along the West Coast I've found myself loving my small town in NW WA.

Seattle was good until I realized all the good areas were becoming overrun by techfags, not unlike what happened in San Francisco when I moved from there in 2005. Unless you're a rich techfag you simply cannot live in Seattle. You get to live elsewhere and commute. I said fuck that and fuck the city. Small town is the best.

We have so many great outdoor things to do here, so many hikes and national parks, lakes, mountains, beaches all within an hour tops. Most are within 20 minutes.

Pic related is from my window earlier today. The only downsides to where I am is there are so little jobs and there is a substantial drug problem. In addition my town has little to draw young professionals and the city's leadership is oblivious to the need to do so. I think when my age group (25) hits the age where they become interested in local government it will become a priority to bring in more young talent.

Simply I love where I live in the PNW.

I'm from New Zealand and considering living for a while in the US. So far, I'm most interested in Texas, but I really know very little about other options. What's the best city there? I work in the tech field.

What state is that in? Is that near Detroit or Flint, Michigan?

Work for a consumer goods company

Yeah they do have ghettoes but it's divided & you can ccw

I live in Manitoba, Canada.

It's +30C in the summer, with nothing between sun beating down on you or torrential rain. The whole province is a fucking swamp, so it's always humid as shit and there are an unbelievable amount of bugs. Since the ground is frozen for 2/3 of the year there's also a shitton of construction in the summer (July to August)

There's about one month of spring, when it floods because we live in a swamp.

There's about one month of fall where the bugs are dead and it's like 15C and actually quite pleasant.

Then there's seven months of -40C and digging through metres of snow. The swamp is in the flatlands so nothing blocks the wind in the winter, leading to insane cold.

The schools here are some of the worst in Canada, and there's basically no non-minimum wage jobs.

The town I live in has around ten thousand people, and is the worst size possible. It's not small enough to be quaint or nice, but not big enough to actually have anything good built in it.

I live in a swamp. A fucking swamp. My ancestors are assholes.

I live in New Zealand. Meh.

I remember you. I used like one and a half hours going true maps trying to find you.

The thread from this morning? The town name was listed toward the end before it was pruned.

What don't you like about NZ? I've been considering moving and my list of candidates is New Zealand, Austria, Switzerland, Iceland, and Patagonia/Falklands

It seems as though there are lots of nice small towns in Washington state, and I know they have casinos, but not sure where they are/how many there are. Is there a casino near you? And what do you do for a living?

That's another good thing about Houston and Texas, the relaxed gun rights. They seem like they are very similar to the gun laws we have here in Arizona. Although, while you have long been able to actually buy/own/carry a gun without a permit, you can now carry it concealed in your vehicle, or even hidden on your body, with no permit needed. Yes, you can legally carry a loaded 9MM pistol in your pocket, or stuck in the waistband of your pants, without any permit whatsoever. You can also hide the gun in your car's glove compartment or under your seat, fully loaded, without a CCW permit. I have to think that Arizona now has the most-relaxed gun laws in America and many Arizonans seem to like that.

No, the one from yesterday. started by the guy from Boston.

i live in your moms vag faget ahahahahah

I think it's in Eastern Europe, user.

Houston is the asshole of Texas, only move there if you love niggers and the constant smell of sewage water.

Since you're in the gambling scene why not Vegas? Yeah its hot but there is always something going on, no shortage of hot women there thanks to all the college/clubs/bars/shows and the living expenses are reasonable when you get away from the strip.

There are actually two casinos near me; one about 30 min east on the main highway and the other on the reservation adjacent to town.

I deliver pizza while going to school. Pays the bills and is pretty simple.

Oh, right yeah. That is still "today" for me I haven't gone to sleep just yet.

This is one of the dumbest posts I've ever seen on this site. And that's saying a lot. You, sir, are a faggot. And a fucking moron.

I knew it wasn't in the U.S., so I was just fucking around, but I honestly don't know where it actually. FYI, I'm the OP and a dumb American.

Oklahoma my entire life, mostly suburbs or small towns.
Only thing I really hate is the severe weather seasons here - don't like tornadoes at all.
Otherwise I like the state. If I go east I got woods and forests, if I go west I got plains, mountains and desert.
Plenty of shit to do here.

Well, I'm something of an oldfag (especially, by the standards on here) and I'm more concerned with living a simple, easy-going life with little stress and am not really concerned with having excitement in my life. I'm not interested in going out and partying and being wild, or even drinking, for the most part. I have some rough times in recent years and would just like to be able to lead a good life and not have more stress and worry and responsibility than is reasonable and necessary. Plus, there's plenty of gambling/casinos and bars, clubs and females in the Phoenix area, if I were interested in that. I would really prefer to live in a smaller town/area with an affordable cost of living and be in a safe area with nice, friendly people. I'm happy with having Amazon Prime and their free 2-day shipping on most things, so I don't need to be in/near a big city with a bunch of malls and major stores.

Basically, I want to live a simple, modest life/lifestyle and not have too much to worry about and stress over.

Btw, I didn't mean to come off defensively or negatively to your post. And I appreciate the response.

Do you live in Houston now? Or have you actually lived there? If so, what other major cities can you compare it to? Do you happen to be familiar with Phoenix? If so, how does Houston compare to Phoenix?

FYI, I replied to the wrong post. Sorry about that. I was trying to reply to someone who had suggested Las Vegas, but I can't seem to find that post now.

Also, nothing wrong with delivering pizzas. It seems like it would be a pretty cool job, getting to drive around in your own vehicle while listening to music and drinking something cool, while hoping for a monster $20 or $50 tip or, at least, some girl offering to flash her tits as a tip for the pizza!

The Houston and Texas economy is better than most of the rest off the country. There are a few rough neighborhoods here, but no where near as bad as Detroit or Chicago. Or Milwaukee for that matter. I've lived all over the country, and traveled through out Europe and Asia, and on the whole I'd rather live in Houston than any place. Shit is happening here, and it doesn't feel like a squalid has-been place whose best days are in the past, like so much of the north. But I am biased I guess.

But if you like socialism, please don't come here. Stay in the other 49 states and leave us in peace.

You got Austin. Hipster fucking leftist
Socialist faggots are already cancerous there.

You're good! Delivering pizza is pretty fun for those reasons honestly. Surprisingly it isn't all young people at my store either. At 25 I'm in the middle of my co-workers ages. The downside is wear and tear on the car but I have one with great mileage and cars are meant to be driven anyway, right?

Best tip was $20, gotten it twice. Feels amazing! But honestly a $4 or $5 is great too

What part of Oklahoma are you in/from? I think that Oklahoma would be a cool place to live, and it seems like it's somewhat similar to Arizona. And they have casinos there, with, from what I understand, great poker action. Especially, at a casino called Windstar, I think it is.

I've also heard that some parts of Tulsa are fucking gangster, like, seriously fucking hardcore and dangerous. And with the city of Tulsa seemingly being featured on The First 48 more than any other city in recent months, I'm inclined to believe it. I've also heard that Oklahoma City has some really bad areas. But, not as bad as the rougher parts of Tulsa.

Do you know anything about either of these cities/areas? If so, are there really areas that are as dangerous and violent as Detroit, Flint, Gary, Little Rock, West Memphis, as some people have suggested.

I use to live in Bergen in the west of Norway. It rains a lot. actually its known for it. Its a great city the people are nice in a say it like it is straight from the liver kind of way. I use to work on a island called Sotra outside of Bergen was about a 30 minute drive to work. But the oil business want more or less belly up so i got laid of.

I moved to the south of Norway for school. to a small town called Grimstad. its very idyllic but dull despite all the students that live here. my apartment is a shithole but i have made some good friends down her.

Picture related.
I live next to the Baltic sea, nope, not the scandinavia, but eastern europe.
Pros of our coutry is the information technology - Vote online, the whole country is covered with internet, paying with a credit card is possible nearly in every shop you find across the country. Average income is rather low, but if you are smart enough you can get along just fine. Spent 4 years abroad and learned to love my home by that.
Only shitty thing is the weather, its constantly shit. But otherwise, im fine with my current situation.
I would, though, live in Spain or Portugal, because of the weather only.

Hopefully we have them contained in that little pocket. Unfortunately California is fucked and they are driving so many to flee to Austin, including west coast tech companies moving people out of California.
Of course they chose the capital where the government is located. The fuckos.

Washington here, we feel your pain.

Washington State, Longview/Kelso

What a fucking shithole. The town of Longview is actually really nice and the historic neighborhoods are beautiful, but the people. Fucking christ, the people.

Can't go to a grocery store without some homeless guy asking for money, food, whatever. Some stores have had to hire security. Fucking grocery stores have had to hire security.

Also there are tons of mentally insane people just walking around. There's this one nigger who looks like Osama Bin Laden's short faced cousin who walks around downtown and yells random shit, this other guy has severe tourette syndrome and always swears at everyone. The drug problem is a huge one. tweakers everywhere. I take night walks because I don't give a fuck and tweakers have attempted to mug me on numerous occasions.

Most of Washington seems to have these same problems. but the Longview/Kelso area is probably the worst next to Vancouver.

Fuck this town, fuck this state.

Pot is legal though.

Small town east of OkC - about 30k residents. Almost no violent crime, when there is it is always in the black part of town.
OkC isn't as bad as any of those, but it is one of the hot spots for the state. Tulsa is worse than OkC (still not as bad as those other cities) however Anadarko leads the state in violent crime - big drug community there. Lot of gang related violence as a result.
There are plenty of casinos, but I don't gamble. Got horse racing too around the state.
OK and AZ are very similar, only more humid in summer and we get worse severe weather.
People about the same though.

Go to Svalbard, man

I've traveled all around the world, but still never been to the PNW... need to get around to that.

I wanted to, but didn't get the job. me and my buddy applied for coal mining jobs. I'm still in school but its not going to well. so there is still a chance.

I agree with you, $4 or $5 is definitely a good tip for delivering a pizza and I'd always be happy to get that from someone. I deal poker for a living and I often/usually get $1 per hand, so anything more than that is always welcomed and appreciated. $20 would seem to be a fantastic tip for a pizza and something worth getting excited over. So, good for you for having that shit happen to you twice!

From what I understand, you folks up in Washington state do seem to have major fucking issues with drugs all over the state. I've also heard that you guys have some hardcore cities with gangs and violence (many of whom made their way up there from California to fuck up many of the nice cities there).

As for the homeless situation, we have it pretty bad here in Arizona, too; in the Phoenix area, at least. And I used to be very compassionate and want to be generous to most of them, but as I've gotten older and struggled through some hard times, and seen how many of them honestly just seem to be lazy bums who are alcoholics or drug addicts who are happy to take handouts and take advantage of good people with generous hearts, it's made me jaded and caused me to not want to try to give money to most of them. And I have compassion and sympathy for mentally ill people, but there's no excuse for motherfuckers to be roaming around the streets menacing others like a fucking jackass. That type of behavior should not be tolerated and I can understand when people get tired of that shit and decide to do something about it themselves (i.e. confronting them and/or getting in to an altercation with them). I can't stand people who don't give a fuck about being considerate to others.

Yeah, it seems like there are some similarities between Arizona and Oklahoma with regards to the old western culture, the friendly people in many of the small towns, and the relaxed gun laws. It also seems like there are some great bass fishing spots in Oklahoma, which I am really jealous of.

Have you actually been to Arizona? If so, where? And did you like it?

Also, what do you do for work?

And is the cost of living there reasonable? I'm guessing that it is.

What's Tucson like? I have some distant relatives there.
