Deadpool and 10 Cloverfield Lane are close seconds for me.
Post your FOTYSF (Film Of The Year so far)
The F should stand for Flick.
>i'm not a shill trying to plant the idea of Civil War = FOTV
Did they hire you today? Do you get 0.05 per reply?
Sage
Im not baiting like OP, I just havent seen many of the good movies from this year. Civil War is therefor definitely on my favorites of the year so far because it was great but I need to watch some of the more artistic things recently too. I'm still just about to watch Inherent Vice to put things in perspective.
Just saw X-Men today after CW yesterday. I'm fucking buffled by the scores, and convinced that disney shills exist now.
X-Men was incredibly comfy, 80-s style shit was cash. Its likeable characters, who acted like real people, and not dumb idiots who'd rather fight than share obvious information, were also cathartic after Captain Autism and the Man of Martha.
Pic unrelated
Batman v Superman.
Captain america; civil war
The nation-spanning intricate multi-layered 3 dimensional themes and motifs paint a visceral; terrifying image of contrasting morality, justice and free will.
Yea obviously your opinion is so undeniable, it MUST be shills. No way they just made a good movie!
How is my post bait? There's threads all the time about these movies, especially when they come out, and many people say they enjoy them, but those threads or posts aren't called bait.
Or is it that my favorites aren't fedora enough for you?
According to Google, Inherent Vice came out in 2014.
The vvitch by a big margin
10 Cloverfield lane is 2nd
My point is im very behind on movies to watch
LOL
>that cretin who posts this image as if it means anything
who is captain america? in my country shield bearer is named admiral marxism
Haven't seen John Carter, but Tomorrowland and the Lone Ranger are definitely better than those scores indicate. People seem to have some sort of mob mentality when it comes reviewing new movies.
I'd also pick X-Men for my favourite so far. I liked it a lot more than CW, and somewhat more than BvS. (To be honest, all the MCU movies are very bland and predictable. And yes, this goes for the "different" ones too, like Ant-Man and especially Deadpool.)
I didn't predict Civil War would have a third act entirely reliant on the characters emotions instead of a final boss fight, I did predict Apocalypse would end with a cg shitfest and character unleashing a super power. So X-Men was more predictable.
BvS
The VVitch and Green Room
>a third act entirely reliant on the characters emotions
Iron Man as played by RDJ has no human emotions.
Last Days in the Desert is my film of the year so far what a fantastic fantastic movie I absolutely adored it :)
I wasn't aware those movies had direct competition made by kino artists that would decimate their franchise had it been critically received well.
hardcore henry with the witch and bvs tied close second
What's up with this guy spamming
>X-XMen was comfy g-guys
Deadpool is Fox.
No, it was a forced piece of shit, the 80's setting is completely forgotten aside from the mall scene, I couldn't tell if anyone acted like real people because there's no characters in that movie, only plot devices.
The movie didn't make me care about anyone, and everyone aside from McAvoy was fucking terrible acting wise, even Fassbender, and honorable mention to Sansa.
Though i'm not surprised this place full of contrarians is the only place in the internet praising the capeshit no one cared about.
fucking plebs, but x men was better than CW and BvS
feels good to be test screener
Same.
Although the three movies were bland as fuck (BvS, CW and Apocalypse) at least this one had characters I cared about.
Never cared about Snyder's characters, and I stopped caring about the X-Men when Origins came out.
Ah, my mistake then. But that just makes me wonder even more, why the movie sucked so bad, hmm...
Hopefully there's an extended version on the BluRay, with more 80s feel to it. That era was definitely underused in the movie. (And Jubilee, too!)
Batman v Superman.
No film so far comes close. Maybe Warcraft, the witch and X-men.
But you already knew that.
Of course, 1.jpg
You are the one mad as fuck because Civil War is the most succesful of them all.
>Warcraft
How low could you fall?
>1.jpg still in denial
Delicious.
no offense but yikes you liked Inherent Vice?
JUST
FUCK
>Best horror movie
Witch
>Best comic book movie
Batman v Superman
>Best movie over all
Batman v Superman
It was mine too but since tv/ is above capeshit, I'll go for Zootopia. Jungle book comes close but is really lackluster in it's 3rd act.
>Batman v Superman, Maybe Warcraft, the witch and X-men.
You can smell the dorito crust coming from this guy's fingers.
MY
...
SHIT
UP
>mfw Jungle Book made almost as much as BvS
Zootopia is and will be the best animated movie of the year. Don't let its awful Sup Forumsmblr fan base turn you away.
skiptrace
>Despite the supergeeks’ arguing either against working for the restrictive capitalist government or for their own sense of doing right and correcting injustice, the fact is, nothing here has gravitas. Civil War is politics as adolescents misperceive social/global crisis.
>This has been going on for so long (ever since Hollywood realized the bounty to be had in cajoling comic-book culture’s ready audience; since, say, the 1978 Superman film, then 1989’s Batman) that, by now, the brainwashing is complete. The trivializing has grabbed such hold that when a genuine pop artist like Zack Snyder deepens comics lore into visionary, moral art (the profound Man of Steel and Batman v Superman), many fanboys, and critics, react with anger, resentment — and ignorance.
Maybe if the plot was more nonsensical, more similar to Transformers 2, he would have loved it.

no one said "Marvel Studios pays critics" its always "Disney pays critics"
ok so how did Deadpool get good reviews
reminder that Armond has never been wrong
nope. not my fault you're ignorant of the actual arguments being presented
It was released far away enough from an MCU property that it wasn't viewed as a box office threat
Did you see it at Sundance?
Good, let's divert all the Disney shills to one thread, and we can have decent film discussion in others.
This, I want to laugh at Warcraft shills in peace.
Cringe. Fuck outta here.
>Cringe
Took you long enough, 1.jpg
The Witch
I'm all for calling out delusion, but why do you shitpost the same shit in every thread?
You're literally this guy.
Why do you artistically stalk a file name?

Thanks friend, what are yours and what are you looking forward to?
I liked hateful 8 and BvS. Didn't care for deadpool, civil war or zoolander.
Missed vvitch and cloverfiled unfortunately.
>BvS
>good taste
It's one of the worst superhero flicks ever made.
Is that supposed to offend anyone?
You're getting repetitive and boring. Find a better terminology, better material to insult with.
This just makes you look like the loser you are.
no super hero flicks belong in a top of the year, but his first 4 redeem it
go watch some quipshit cuck
I'm so happy the DCEU is a failure.
You get to see assmad neckbeard fanboys like this mad as fuck.
In my defense I really haven't seen much in theaters. I wanted to see Green Room and Knight of Cups but i live in the middle of nowhere so anything outside the normal fare is hard to come by.
This year has been total shit so far to be honest.
it's a pretty terrible year. there is pretty much nothing worthwhile coming out
Awww, look at him.
The one who was begging for mercy days ago.
The DCEU is dead, stay assmad.
Can't wait for Justice League to come out and see it flop.
>b-b-but
Sorry pham, BvS is pure trash, and the entire planet agrees.
It's a perfect example of everything wrong with superhero movies.
>Not 2.jpg
>Assmad
>DCEU is dead
Totally not the same person here haha
You being this salty means I've already won, time to pack it up
You'll join us in the sun one day, maybe.
