Alright Sup Forumsros, I just found this old ass windows 2000 in the basement of my apartment complex, like, it still uses floppy discs and shit. How do I crack the admin password? Will post pics of what I find on the computer if I find anything interesting.

These are the discs that came with it.

Plus floppy discs

Can't help but interested so bump

Return it! Some poor Beaner probably forgot that down there and you stole it you nigger

Please tell me if this shit works

why crack it? why not just insert linux live boot disc and enjoy? use Ubuntu live if you're no pro...

Try booting into safe mode to circumvent the log in password. Works on XP at least

>NOBODY HAS SAID "GIVE IT BACK TYRONE"

Sup Forums is full blown nigger town now

boot to safe mode, go to profiles and remove them

make a bootdisk with this

pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

Get a hiryns

I was planning on doing that after checking out what was on this thing

if you wanna check out what's on it, just make the linux install cd, read the data and extract it. Then you can use linux. Not fucking ubuntu though

You can download something onto a usb or disk and boot from it and get through the admin login some how idk google it

a boot disk, cause its old windows will blank the password in the existing windows installation easily. You can use a Hiren's or that nt tool in the link above

bunping fur interest

bump seems cool

I THINK this is going to expire.

OP delivar

Just use COFEE
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_Online_Forensic_Evidence_Extractor

memory fails me, but i remember that in win98 you could bypass this by just clicking cancel. 2000 was just the NT version of 98 so try it.

Just burn or copy a Linux Mint iso to a DVD / USB and boot up Linux.

Bumping for interest.
What secrets can be found?

You'll Want an old copy of Linux. Like mandrake.

Mint/Ubuntu 15 is like trying to put windows 10 on it.

Just boot to dos, dir *.jpg /s

bump

Bootable linux disk. Copy data.

Also try these.

Please for the love of fuck someone find a way to access the existing data, I'm too curious now.

Also like your external CD drive, i got one since my current CD drive is being a shithead.

The simplest way is to remove the hard disk for the laptop, set the drive jumper to be non-boot, connect it to another PC, power up and view the directory. Encrypted hard disks were very rare then and you can explore all over it.

seems similar to what you ahve to do on XP.

>Implying he has a ide controller on his pc..

Sure is summer out here

I don't see how implying he has a PC with IDE connections makes him a summerfag. There are still plenty of machines out there that never made the jump to SATA. Chill the fuck out, man.

bump for interest.

Someone's gonna get laid in college.

I actually do this for a living. Odds of him having one, especially when he's asking Sup Forums for help to extract files are slim to none.

It's even dumber that people think moving the hdd to an equally old machine will help. Lots of ide drives didn't autoconfigure the drive parameters. Furthermore the notion of it is comically more complex than just going to do.

Lastly OP isn't posting cause he probably figured out that even if he did go through all this he might find a few MBs of vintage ASCII porn.

That's why it's summer in here. Suck on my winter chill, fagget.

Get off your fucking high horse. I went to college for Network Administration so you aren't the only one around here that knows a thing or two about IT shit. Get your head out of your ass and grow up.

It has to be really really old IDE to not autoconfigure. Anything running windows 2000 should be fine.

Sure sure go ahead and give him advice in dismantling a 15 year old pc on Sup Forums. Wouldn't be surprised if the box is older than OP.

Kek. Blind leading the blind.

>Sup Forums

I think Hiren's boot CD has a password reset section but it's been a few years since I've needed to do that.
