Totally forgot about the Forum. Santa Monica beach would be perfect for Beach Volleyball. USC, UCLA, and CSULB all have great athletic facilities for those kind of sports.

There are probably at least a dozen cities around the world that could host an Olympics within 6 months, including 2 in Australia.
They don't judge an Olympic bid based purely on how prepared the city already is. See: Rio, Beijing, Athens in the last 12 years.
