>Rams stadium - Opening/Closing ceremonies >Stub Hub Center - Rugby/Field Hockey >Staples Center - Basketball >Dodger Stadium - Baseball >USC Coliseum - Track and Field >Rose Bowl - Soccer finals >Los Angeles Memorial Arena - various sports >El Dorado park - Archery (same site as 84 Olympics) >Clean water and beaches for distance swimming and sailing
I think we just need a new Aquatic Center and we should be able lock the Olympics. We already have half the venues ready to go.
why not other cities like Chicago or San Francisco, Dallas??
Anthony Rogers
Los Angeles would make Rio look like the shit I took after a wet burrito. Messy, disgusting, and filled with hazardous waste that could kill you.
Aiden Johnson
Plus the new soccer stadium at Exposition Park. Pretty sure we could use the The Forum, The Pyramid and the Long Beach Sports Arena.
Carter Cruz
>Paris/Budapest/Rome all 2000 years old >Los Angeles 100 years old >still has more culture than those other "cities" combined >Actually diverse with many races and cultures >not 100% Islamic >has the best wine in the world just 45 minutes north in Santa Barbara, surpassing the French at what they are known for >has the best climate in the world, way better than Rome's Mediterranean climate >best kino in the world >best music in the world >basically entertainment capital of the world >also the sports capital of the world >had the most successful Olympics in history back in 1984 >everyone else goes bankrupt while we prosper youtube.com/watch?v=KcADqxnQA_4
How can other "cities" even compete?
William Brooks
>not wanting the Opening/Closing at the Coliseum
Easton Sullivan
You should wait a bit between reposting the same bait.
Nathan Carter
Yet they hosted the Olympics twice and has a good shot of a third one. I think Rome might be the only challenge.
Jaxon Martinez
>only profitable Olympics in the last gorillion years, maybe ever
Gavin Butler
I would like it because of tradition, but the Rams new stadium would be bigger.
David Martinez
Boring Budapest 2020 needs to happen new olympic sports refugee shooting, gipsy lynching, jew roundups
Anthony Wood
Are you all saying I'm arguing against the olympics in Los Angeles? If so, re-read the post.
Christopher Mitchell
I have second hand embarrassing from the notion that you thought that post would be original or funny. Try again next time joao
Jack Howard
Totally forgot about the Forum. Santa Monica beach would be perfect for Beach Volleyball. USC, UCLA, and CSULB all have great athletic facilities for those kind of sports.
Now the question is, is where to build the Athlete's Village?
Xavier Gray
This is the only bid that would make money back, maybe Paris could too.
Best ceremonies would be Rome for sure.
Jack Ortiz
why is tinkerbell the logo?
Ayden Ortiz
Because L.A. is full of fairies
Carson Kelly
It's an angel, dummy.
Colton Jackson
Your mum
Brayden Rivera
>MFW 5pm Opening Ceremony because of East Coast
Owen Richardson
My mum is sort of an angel, yes.
Luis Foster
>I think we just need a new Aquatic Center and we should be able lock the Olympics That's not how it works lad. There are probably at least a dozen cities around the world that could host an Olympics within 6 months, including 2 in Australia. They don't judge an Olympic bid based purely on how prepared the city already is. See: Rio, Beijing, Athens in the last 12 years.
Eli Rodriguez
Honestly I hope Los Angeles gets it.
Rome, Budapest, and Paris are all at risk of terrorist attacks
European development is shit, the new Rams stadium on the other hand is glorious
America knows they'll make their money back with tourism, so the opening will be lavish af.
Russia and China won't be able to get past third-world security and cheat
Zachary Anderson
The new mayor of Rome has based her campaign on not doing the Olympic Games in 2024
Hudson Brooks
>budapest
best option desu
reward hungary for helping to fight off the muslim hordes
Andrew Johnson
Someone should "ThugLife" that logo.
Josiah Collins
You realize all of Southern California will be completely mexican by 2024? No rich white people to watch these games.
Easton Gutierrez
Olympics don't make money for cities or do anything in terms of building a tourist destination (especially if you already are a tourist destination like Rome).
Brody Hall
>putting it in some beaner city >there will be massive butthurt over trump >black lives matter will interrupt the events >some insane fundie will bomb the stadium again >the entire thing will have 10 million commercials >0 public transportation and all the olympians have to fight LA traffic
The US should never host the Olympics.
Jackson Davis
>LA already got it twice, last one being 1984 >Most recent American host city was Atlanta, 1996 ???????
John Baker
LA doesn't have public transportation? Wow I assumed they were like NYC. Guess not. They will be thoroughly fucked in the future when peak oil happens for not investing in public transportation.
Lucas Price
no problem in '84 and public transportation is a million times better now that it was back then
MTA is laying down rail like someone told them LA won the bid already
Luke Wright
This. There will be light rail access to UCLA and LAX by 2024, with more stations added throughout the city.
Zachary Gonzalez
maybe that's because some cities are just better situated to host world events?
Daniel Garcia
Paris hosted it in 1924, and they're bidding for 2024 a century later
It's going to Paris, soz
It's also 8 or 9 hours behind Europe, meaning that the olympics will get fuck all viewers here, with North American ratings down this year, the IOC needs to keep the European market
Not going to happen
Noah Williams
literally all I ever hear from people in LA is how bad the traffic is, so transport mustn't have improved too much
