He raped both men and women so that should count.

The autistic spectrum, though I'm quite sure GG might well have been on a fair few spectrums

Do people who make vaporwave count as "artists"?

are you autistic?

owl city guy

he legit has aspergers

Pretty sure Ye is on the spectrum

He wasn't autistic, just misunderstood.

Mozart

I think he's more likely to be bipolar than autistic.

Yes, except for the mentally ill trannys.

courtney love, gary numan

autism rocks desu not being ironic. being autistic isn't that bad, the information and brain noise that becomes overwhelming at times, though. it's odd and basically indescribable

Courtney Love and Dan Aykroyd for diagnosed.

i didn't know aykroyd made music

MC Ride for sure

me

stop

autism isn't real it's just thought habits

It takes a certain level of autism to be able to create Serialism, Stochasticism, etc.

take your pick

someone talking about autism on the internet without making a thousand crude jokes?! huh.. *sniffs air* must be autistic
yeah, though, autism is complex and it's sad that people see it as just retardation or some savant thing ("oh, like rainman?"). i can't wear jeans.... i can't eat most food, certain sounds make me cower and panic and have melt downs. but of course, much more than this--just stating the bits seen as "quirky" but (semi?) acceptable.

hey stop that

autism = retarded
that's all we need to know

autism is literally having a differently structured brain all together and an extremely high IQ and being forced to think too much, basically, rendering the person tense and sensitive to a lot of things as a result.

literally the opposite.

>extremely high IQ
>"dude bill gates and isaac newton and einstein were autistic!!! my special ed teacher said so!"

That's a myth dude.
How do you explain all those autists who bang their heads in the walls and scream and shit and jack off to sonic porn when they're in their 20s-30s?

Low functioning autists are basically retards.
Look it up on youtube.

>high IQ
that's dependent on the person.
it's thought habits. ever heard of neuroplasticity? of course the brain structures change according to thought habits.
the second we stop approaching mental illness as some incurable disease/condition/identity is when we'll be able to really treat it.

their IQs aren't low necessarily, they're just spergs but i don't think special interests disqualify intelligence at all. self-awareness? ya.. they lack a lot of that.
not everyone with a high IQ is autistic but there IS a reason IQ tests are required for an autism diagnosis. autism and high IQ are directly correlated.

it's sad but the dichotomy of high / low functioning is one that's always perplexed me because autist 1 could be able to shower, dress themselves, not scream, be seen like most others but unable to have friendships, constantly overwhelmed and keeping it in. functioning is subjective and complex but i understand what you mean.
theyre not 'basically retards'.. :(

why would anyone want to "treat" autism? autism isn't bad, you can't cure autism. when people discuss a 'cure' for autism they're simply referring to euthanasia, whether they realize it or not. you can help an autistic person become more self-aware and 'functioning' but you can't erase or cure autism. it's not just behavior. autism is present at birth. it's not as simple as plasticity like depression. not even OCD is that simple.

Full blown schizophrenia by now I'd have thought

>not treating autism
It's still a disorder and it affects your life adversely. It can affect forming relationships significantly. Given a choice any parent would rather have a non-autistic kid.

yes you can't cure a made-up disease because someone insists being a certain way is part of their identity. not that it's their fault, we've been fed this shit by the psych community.
a baby doesn't come out autistic, that's some stupid shit. of course nature plays a part but environment is also pretty significant. this fatalistic approach of psychology is exactly why it's so fucking toxic.

Chief Keef

of course a parent wouldn't want an autistic kid. but no autistic person i've ever known, including myself, would rather not have autism. it's honestly kind of great being able to experience everything in a different way. it can be inconvenient but i wouldn't rather not be autistic.
it /is/ a disorder and it /does/ cause issues but autistic people can work on these issues. the disorder impacts too much to entirely be rid of, if that makes sense.

>no autistic person i've ever known, including myself, would rather not have autism
I don't know about that. My brother's autistic and he's repeatedly told me that he can't fucking stand it. Not that that's representative of everyone either.

What's wrong with jeans

neuroplasticity is valid but you can't simply rid the brain of autism. you can DEFINITELY help soeone with autism through therapy and exercises but the person, no matter what, would remain autistic even without sensory issues, without meltdowns, difficulty interacting, without these "bad" things associated with autism. what about the good things?

that makes me sad, dude. his age could have a lot to do with it, and if he's in school and whatnot. his 'functioning' level, too. i go back and forth between saying i don't mind having autism and saying i absolutely loathe it but i'd still never want to not be autistic.. if that even makes sense. it'd be like being an entirely different person

the texture is too abrasive and it makes me feel like i'm suffocating and i get sweaty and clammy and anxious. as a kid i'd cry and scream but now i just internally freak out whenever i feel these things while keeping a straight face and remaining silent

Autism and Aspbergers aren't the same disease and putting them on a "spectrum" together is fucking retarded, that's why. IIRC the newest edition of DSM changed that.

him suit too big for he gotdamn feet

I've got doctor-certified (not self diagnosed) ass patties and it's fine if you're properly medicated. You need a light focusing med like low dose Adderall, not some fucking zombie dope like Ritalin

I'm autistic (aspergers technically). I'd rather not have it. If I could choose I would choose not to have it. It makes me a recluse and uncoordinated and unable to talk to women.

Get yourself some 20mg Addy

John Maus might be on the spectrum IMHO. Madlib legitimately seems like he has aspergers at times.

>neuroplasticity is valid but you can't simply rid the brain of autism.
minus all those things you mentioned what exactly is autism then?

DSM 5 combined PPDNOS and aspergers and autism into one diagnosis, it's all just autism now (autism spectrum disorder)

medication sucks and a lot of aspies get put on antipsychs for meltdowns and it just ruins them even more but stims can help a lot with focusing and behavior

autism doesn't "make" you do anything desu that's all on you truly

okay.. this is weird. i've listened to john maus almost 9,000 times this year alone ( last.fm/user/nyekii ) and i emailed him about autism recently. he's most likely autistic. he once emailed a girl hundreds of times and she wouldn't reply. in interviews he's always tense and stims by rubbing his clothing and rocking back and forth. phenomenal man

Those ticks in his interviews are exactly what I've observed too. I'm serious about him, whereas Madlib was more facetious. He's got one interview where he hardly makes eye contact at all that's a little cringe.

Travis Scott is (or at least used to be) extremely socially awkward.

is it the noisevox interview? he just looks at his lap the entire time, i felt so bad for him. the interviewer didn't give him very much freedom at all. he prefers to be given an open platform to talk as much as he wants because he always has so much to say. my favorite interview of him is an hour long.. i'm sure he would've said more if allowed in it. he's much more comfortable there, and is allowed to ramble as much as possible with minimal pressure.

This. I have Asphergers but its easy to go out and socialise if you are on medication. You don't even notice you are different anymore.

re: what aspergers is
i believe that neuroplasticity tends to happen in us aspies and this is what makes a high IQ; as evidenced by tendencies to shift focus to details and different modes of functioning

btw hi k**

how did you...?

coincidence

wh-whos this

It was a Radio Vinyle interview. If this is the same thing as noisevox, then my apologies.

Side note: There was a rumor Chief Keef has aspergers, but I haven't researched this. Take it with a grain of salt.
