You can't pretend that WoT isn't full of repetitive writing, it's the only way the thing managed to hit that many books. It's also infinitely more noticeable when you marathon the books, same as LOOPUS in house MD or whatever

umm, wake up, why are They pushing the WoT series now, of all times? Alex has explained that the values of the books are in line with the values of the Illuminati, and it's all part of the plan, to disctract children with magic and wizards and dragons. The dragon is the biblical symbol of Satan. Coincidence? I doubt it.

Nynaeve is great though, even Egwene and Faile had some good moments

some of their chapters were a bit too long and grinding, but overall i enjoyed how Jordan wrote women, they had a bit of spunk in them

i'm praying for a good adaption that stays true to source (hue, pun), cuts out the unnecessary bits and don't genderbend or colorwash any characters

a bit worried about how all the magic, trollocs etc. will turn out though, WoT live action sounds expensive

The first book was the only one worthwhile and it's whole story could be self contained. Either in a miniseries or single season. Seriously they do everything in it, after leaving not-the-shire they travel around together go to cities and see that abandoned cursed city. Get separated and go on other adventures. Meet up and eventually even temporarily defeat the Devil, why would I care about a villain who gets fucked up by kids in the first book of the series already?
