Memes aside, why does Sup Forums hate reddit?

Memes aside, why does Sup Forums hate reddit?

Because

I don't especially hate it, I just think it's a shit website. It doesn't upset me that it exists, just not for me,

SJW shithole

Le downvote

I hate the UI.

Sup Forums's UI is shit but it's still a million times better than Reddit's.

Le downvote is the worst. literally no one uses it as it was meant to be used.

downvotes limits discussion and creates a circle jerk atmosphere in every sub, because only the comments people like make it to the top. All of their in-jokes and phrases are fucking annoying too.

>will never not
>he's going places, not ___, but places
>banana for scale
>image macro """"memes"""""
>use of memes and "internet culture" in general

You can just fucking tell when someone spends too much time on reddit. We have contrarian shitposters here but you can at least have actual discussions that aren't regulated by popular opinion.

A lot of this can be applied to facebook and other social media too. It's just a superficial experience.

This is coming from a guy who had an account for like two years.

Polland Ball note In reddit I often use,but it is just.I don't use it so much thus I don 't care

They have shit memes.

You think reddit has Michael and the Sex Goblin on wattpad?

No. Sup Forums spams it all day though. We meme nigga.

Post scoring basically

In reddit popular opinions/posters are brought to the top where everyone circlejerks over them, and unpopular opinions/posters are voted down to the bottom of the page where nobody sees them.

You pretty much can't express unpopular opinions on Reddit

Compare this to Sup Forums where you get everyone's opinions straight, because not only is there no scoring system, and because everyone is anonymous

Basically, Sup Forums and Reddit are opposites as a result. On Reddit everyone obsesses over how others will view their posts, on Sup Forums everyone just posts whatever the fuck they think

>le downvote

C'mon guys, that's a meme. Give me a real reason.

is just cancer, simple as that

>that's a meme
Dumbass.

Because reddshitters are unteachable retards. If they were capable of learning, they wouldn't keep coming here asking why we don't like them.

Liberal faggots who need censorship to preserve their echo chamber.

> regulated by popular opinion

Dude seriously it's the same everywhere you go.

I'd you swerve from the Sup Forums consensus you get flooded by 'trolls' who resort to being total bitches when they find out their opinion is wrong

That's true man, but I think reddit is the worst case offender since it actively promotes this.

The trolls are easy to deal with if you're used to Sup Forums, but I take your point.

Its layout is shit.

It hurts to try and navigate that shitty site.

Did i mention its shit?

Because the only way Redditors know how to make a point is to act persecuted. Every single belief that gets upvoted is written "against the tides of the masses", as if the whole worldis a bunch of sheep except for this one, lone sane man in a sea of anti-intellectualism.

It's not so much the sophomorism as it is the hypocrisy of a community that supposedly cherishes "cold, calculated logic" only knowing how to argue with emotions and personal attack. I have never seen a discussion thread that hasn't devolved into someone saying some shitty, dumbass throwaway line like "You mean X isn't all completely Y?". Every argument consists of two sides acting like the other is persecuting them and that their own side is a bastion of hope that's rising up from the ashes.

And that's not even getting into the unfunny running gags, the so-unfunny-they're-not-funny pun threads and the endless self referential references that aren't actually comedic.

Reddit is like if Rick and Morty were written by the writing staff of Family Guy.

>provide me a counterargument
>also, all coungerarguments are memes
Nice Catch 22

Because it is incredibly meme orientated.
Because it has very toxic boards.
Because it has strict rules and mods who abuse their power
Because it is a big popularity contest in regards to le upboat system XD
Because cute dead girls? totally ok, but god forbid anyone bullies fat people.

I currently use both, don't give a flying fuck.

some subs are good, and have a friendly community.

everyone here almost instantly wants a contest to see if they can out 'superior' you.

Not saying reddit isn't like that, but those downvotes do prevent everyone from seeing that cave man mentality of the virgins who now have recreated caves in their parents basement.

fuck off and just do what you want and like

shit arguments lads

Honestly, I just go to 9gag when I want Reddit content. The community is actually less cancerous.

I prefer 14 years acting like 14 year olds to 31 year olds acting like 14 year olds.

It is a real reason. It's not just a meme. Make an account over there and start posting. You will see soon enough what we are talking about.

This thread would be at -3 and hardly anyone would have even seen it. Don't get me started about the comment section either.

I don't go there for memes.

I go there because I'm involved in a few subs on there that have nothing to do with memes.

>implying this isn't

But im not arguing im just stating the fact that reddit is shit.

there are smaller very good subreddits, and there are ultra cancer subs like r/gaming... nobody forces you to even see those subs. The worst part about reddit is the karma/gold system and that only affects huge subs

to be fair most of reddit was very mad when r/fatpeoplehate was deleted

Hey, you can find some great porn on 9gag, user. Sup Forums porn is a slippery slope

>michael and the sex goblin
My sides are in orbit I'm so glad I took the time to find that wattpad. MostlyHetero might be my new favorite author

>you get flooded by 'trolls' who resort to being total bitches when they find out their opinion is wrong

That's bullshit and fuck you to death for saying so.

>implying our circa 2003 layout is any better/easier to use

tbh i think 4chinz has a way simpler layout then leddit

I don't cae about it. I like nosleep though

LOL u know it's true.

Most of the time. Occasional 'mature' convos where ppls disagree are rare

It's a place where no controversial idea can live. The voting system ensures one idea lives, all others die.
