ITT: Movies set in your city or town specifically

No LA or New York, way too many movies set there.

Pic related, one of the few movies I've seen that are set in Melbourne.

I was going to post one the many movies set in Pittsburgh, but then I remembered this Sinbad classic set in the small town I live in 20 minutes west of downtown

The Oktoberfest scenes at the end of this are set in Kitchener, ON, IIRC. Maybe not mentioned explicitly. They were filmed there, though.

Hell yeah dude! Did he have the snake tattoo makeup still on?

I got to meet Samuel L Jackson twice when they were filming Rules of Engagement. First time we went to his trailer after my mom and sister met him. She bakes and whoever was in charge order a lot of cheesecakes from her. SLJ even called our house asking for her, she even went to DC to watch a basketball game with him (yeah I'm pretty sure they did some shit, I don't even give a fuck). Then we went back to DC when they were done filming. He came down to the parking garage and said bye to us all, my brothers and sister. I don't have the picture on my computer but we all got a personalized autograph. Mine reads "Keep watching the movies. We love ya!". We were talking about movies, and how I was excited for The Matrix, I was 10. He told us about how people confuse him for Lawrence Fishburn and how he'd even sign autographs with his name for the fuck of it.

Then I shook Clint Eastwood's hand while he was inside the passenger seat of an SUV after some filming for J. Edger. Pic related.

That's a good movie, completely unknown though.

Proud of this one

They never name the setting, but it was filmed in my city.

I remember visiting the whale a few times during the shoot.

I don't believe it was filmed in town, but it was set here. The hotel mentioned is currently in disrepair, as is the old playboy mansion that was constructed along with it. The hotel is falling apart a-la The Shining and I assume that the mansion is nothing but rotting wood, discarded condoms, and heroin needles.

People are moving out because there are no good jobs. The older people are dying and the younger people aren't having kids, so the area is closing down schools.

It makes me depressed.
