Looking to get a motorcycle. Never owned one before but I enjoy riding them. What should I get /Bros that's not insanely expensive (6k+) (I'm a student) pic not related

Vincent Black Shadow

(OP) also looking for a crotch rocket. Nothing like a Harley

Non Gladius SV650
Do not buy a 300 to start on

Get a Honda 600 thats what im playing to get

300s are fine to start on, if you're a rather small person. I wouldn't want to be on a 300 if you're not though.

If you get a 300 you're going to get bored quick. Just get a 600-650 and be careful with the throttle at first

I'm 6'1 180 would that be to small?

Yeah I'm the same size and a 650 is perfect for me and a passenger.

u should start on a tricycle

Buy a used GSXR 600, it's a good bike and u get mad respect from other bikers

Honestly the best thing to do is sit on a bunch of bikes and see what you prefer. Everyone has their own preference.

Who the girl?

Look into the Yamaha fz-07. Great starter bike that will last forever. I got 90k miles out of mine. Great upright comfortable seating position and sexy as fuck. Comfy for 2up riding and lots of power. I miss mine. Good luck bro. BTW you can find them brand new for 6-7k

More!

I should also mention that it's pretty much maintenance free on the FZ 07. You can do your own oil changes in about 10 mins. I would take it in for chain adjustments every 700-1000 miles. Other than that it won't really need any valve checks or any major work till around 30k

get a ninja 300 and look for a biker forum you stupid faggot

Ninjas are for faggit edgy high school kids.. and the bikes look nasty as fuck

Nudes...

he's a noob and a student it's perfect for him

Cara Harrison.

Nudes?

Bet she has a hairy cunt.

we can only hope

Get at the very least a 600.
There's no need to start with a fucking scooter.
Always remember your clutch is your friend, in times of trouble.
When in doubt grab the clutch.
When in slight doubt cover the clutch.
I've seen so much stupid shit happen with people who should have grabbed the clutch.

honda grom cheap, good on gas, and you can fuck around on them easy

2007+ r6 is the alpha sport bike. So smooth and quick. Way more forgiving than a 1000cc. Also arguably best looking sport bike.

First find what style you like. Engine size I wouldn't go higher than 650, especially wouldn't ride something that big if it was a sport bike to learn on.

Buy used you fool!!!!!!

I'm the 5th person to learn to ride on my cb450 nighthawk from 1983. It is great for learning especially if you want to do your own maintenance.

This. Never panic brake. Panic brake=low side every time

OP you say that you enjoy riding. How many years experience and on what kinds of bikes?

I don't have more. I saved it from another user

NEVER underestimate ABS.
Shit is better than seatbelt.

This is pretty much the best advice here.
Work out the style of bike you want, and nothing wrong with buying a used bike.

This

That looks like a mid life crisis bike

Not the same girl

Hard to tell, she acts like the first girl but going by a different name...

Used Honda CBR600RR will make a good starter bike. When buying used bring a friend that knows mechanics of the bike your interested in, you don't want to buy a lemon.

Buy a high quality lid (Arai), gloves, and boots if you don't already have them. The goal is to walk away from an accident.

Consider taking a rider safety class.

>600RR
>Starter

Nice knowing you.

OP said wants to ride sport bikes. The CBR600RR handles good, light weight, in the price range used. OP can grow into it.

I'm looking at selling my golf and getting a KTM RC390. The Dukes look boring and pajeet but the RC390 I hear is horrible for long rides.
If I'm 6 ft would it really be that bad?

Have you guys really not heard about evalion?
Looker up on pornhub too.

I've had muscle bikes. Crotch rockets and commuters. Current bike pic related. A Harley that actually goes stops and handles.

You'd be hard pressed to find a motorbike that isn't horrible for long rides that isn't a big touring bike. Kind of hard to get creature comforts on something so small.

>If James Cameron designed a bike

Nope

It's okay to start with shit that's a little too powerful for you. My first dirt bike was a 125cc 2 stroke and I had almost no real riding experience.

OP is not evasion.

evalion

I'm also thinking of getting one. I'm 1.73m (5'8), what do you think of a 300 for my size?

Crack out the nudes op, we know you got email.

Ninja 250/300
Don't kill yourself on anything bigger like these fuckin morons are saying you should.

They're cheap as hell used and you can resell it after you get bored of it and get something bigger.

You don't wanna drop a nice bike anyway.

Hayabusa owner checking in. Get a 600. Respect the throttle, and you'll be fine. GSXR600 or ZX6R are my personal favorites that can be had for cheap.

If you're scared of a 600 supersport like a GSXR, the SV650 and Ninja 650 are good alternatives for bigger guys, but otherwise a 600 sport bike is just about right for someone that's a little more heavy learning to ride. 300cc bikes are kind of too small for anywhere outside the European countries.

Get a 600 or smaller, get armoured pants and jacket as well as the gloves boots helmet. Learn the fucking thing before getting a bigger bike. Most cars go from 0-100kph in 7ish seconds, most 600s are 3 - 3.5 seconds. Take advanced riding courses and don't stop learning. If you get on the bike you wear all the gear, most shit happens close to home when you decide to duck down the shop and some fuckwit knocks you off reversing out their driveway or you dump it cause you know the road and didn't pay attention to that spot of gravel/oil etc. All of that shit said, do it. Best fun on wheels.

KTM RC390. You can get one for like $5k brand new. Good power. Light. Will be good to learn on and you could probably rip that thing around and push it hard when you get better.

I agree. I'm 6'1", 190lbs and have an '08 GSX650F. Really comfortable and still powerful.

The 650's like the SV and your bike are great. Starting on a 250 was the biggest fucking waste of my time. Bigger bikes are not that scary as long as you can respect the throttle and not go too hard with the throttle.

If you're into sport bikes get a kawasaki 250r or the newer 300cc model, it's PLENTY of bike to get you started and extremely forgiving to new riders. Anyone who's saying get a 600 is a fucking moron who's probably never ridden in their lives, you WILL end up wrapping a 600 around a tree, with you mangled in the wreckage.

There's a massive difference between a sport 650 and a super sport 650...

Can't go wrong with a 125cc Grom

Groms are fucking cool. I ride a Busa, but damn I'm jealous of you guys on Groms. They just look so fun.
