Nah I originally thought it was pronounced "me me" which made some intuitive sense because it implied a "me too!" connotation, which is what a meme is intended to do - get everyone repeating it.
Then I read about how it comes originally from Ancient Greek μίμημα which literally means "imitated thing", so "me me" made even more sense once you Anglicized the pronunciation then I heard some fags on TV call it "meem" and it shattered my world view and sent me into an Autistic rage because it's such a stupid goddam fucking way to pronounce it.
