What is the point of that? The goal is fan engagement, not raw numbers. If you have a bunch of views and followers but there aren't real people out there who enjoy your music what are you even doing? If your goal is to have people enjoy your art, this isn't it. If your goal is to make money, fake followers aren't gonna buy tickets to your show or pay for your album.

Nah all seriousness if you're buying followers for soundcloud, that's a bit silly. Of all the social media platforms to buy followers for, soundcloud makes the least sense and is the most obvious when it's fake. You get all these plays, but never the likes or comments to balance it out. If you just have a boatload of track plays (or followers) and no likes and comments to balance it out, everybody will catch on that you're buying followers, and you'll just look like an idiot. Even seen some of these fake accounts get deleted, making their follower count decrease by a few hundred in a matter of minutes.
It ain't a good idea. Just market yourself, you'll get real fans eventually.

I've looked into it but it's very stagnant and obvious. It won't lead to anything greater. If one could pay for for fans then I'd do it, but all you'll get from paying for plays is plays and maybe some random comments.

Yeah but that's not really how it works. It'll look real stupid when you have like 10,000 followers on soundcloud and thousands of plays on all your tracks but very few comments and reposts with people saying "oh shit look at this." If you're willing to spend money on your music, there are better uses. Get a professional mix and master of your absolute best song. Then pay soundcloud to make it a promoted track and it'll show up at the top of a lot of users' feed. It'll say promoted on it and that can make you look silly, but it exposes your music to real people.

The optics of this might be cool, but at this price I'd rather just pay SoundCloud to promote a track. If your track is mediocre and a bunch of accounts that look fake are interacting with it it will be obvious.

This is something else to think about to. Soundcloud does let you promote tracks on their site for a price. It'll probably be cheaper than that overpriced site and it'll possibly get you real fans.

True, but I've seen the fake accounts people make for Twitter, and it's pretty impressive. I can't say that I have seen any of the accounts for Soundcloud, but if they look anything like the "professionally made" fake Twitter accounts, its pretty hard to tell.

It really isn't. The fake accounts for Twitter and Instagram are incredibly obvious. Soundcloud's even worse. It's usually just guest users with no tracks.

Well, they have comments, likes, and reposts now. It's just that I dont know how real they look or how original they are. Like, if its the same comment 100x over, that would be horrible.

What this guy said. If you want to spend money, just promote your best track and then you can get actual listeners. And if it doesn't work, maybe your track just wasn't good or accessible enough and you have to go make a better one. But that's fine.

That's my real goal. If I can get on Trending, even for a short period of time, that would be awesome.
I'm starting to realize that if this does work, people really, really, really aren't going to say anything.
If it doesn't work and got you banned, that's what I really want to know.
I know its just a BS figure, but if I spend a little bit on my best song, I could potentially get a shit ton of plays, followers, pins, likes, the whole thing.
If this works from Soundclouds eyes, it's going to get pushed to the Trending list.
