I know a guy that swapped the stock rb20 from his 2 door gtst and put a redtop SR in it lol. He got a lot of shit for it from fanboys at car shows
Also my SR20 is done right. It's out of the car at the moment. I just put forged internals and a titanium head kit (minus SS VALVES, and it will be mounted with nismo motor mounts.
Sounds like your friends SR20 was unbalanced. Probably had bearing wear on his crankshaft.

Considering that I drove my S13 (first car) for 9 years with a stock KA24 engine, 200hp stock is already fun for me. Have no plans to install a supercharger or a turbo kit. Maybe exhaust, intake, headers, and E85 tune for a bit more power but that's enough for me. I want to focus on suspension, tires and brakes.
