This is the genre I'm the most curios about. Horror is such a nice genre. I used to read a book in a week but I kinda stopped since at some point... it didn't suck me in the world anymore.
But Horror is such a nice genre. You make it realistic and write from a first person perspective and maybe, just maybe you give your readers the creeps.
Although... the hard part is getting ideas or motivation to write.
