Yep, Kirby Super Star Ultra to be precise, which is a remake of the snes one but with much more content, it starts off easy but gets more challenging eventually.

I think it was the story mode for SSBB that made me get into it, i fell in love with the Kirby characters like Meta Knight and Dedede and wanted to know more about them and eventually picked up Super Star Ultra and every other game in the series after that.
It was actually much darker than i thought it would be.

Everything about that mode was great but the build up for that fight and that ending made it for me.
Also if you beat every mode, including the arena you will get the true arena, which you should go through if you want to get to the true final boss.
