Homosexuality isn't a choice, it's a biological mutation. In over 150 species around the world homosexuality has been observed, from mammals to birds, even insects. However, biologically speaking, this isn't normal, aka a mutation. Mutations like these can be observed over long periods of time and under certain conditions, but most are beneficial, while others are not.
To ensure the species survival and that the best traits are passed along a male and a female need to mate, and will usually do so with a partner that has traits that are unique, different, and beneficial so that their offspring will be even better than they were. However homosexuality doesn't allow for reproduction, thus the two are destined to never pass on their genes, and therefore do not continue the species.
So the question remains, what benefit is there to homosexuality? In biological terms, none that anyone is aware of. While I don't have a problem with homosexuals, it makes sense.
