Graduating college with a film major >impossible to find a job >all my contacts work in radio or commercials
I'm Canadian but I have my dual citizenship. I thought this would be a pretty easy industry to get into being able to work in both Canada and US but so far so no luck. Any success stories and tips?
Lol how are you graduating with no legit contacts? What did you study and what do you plan on doing?

I want to work on Documentaries & Music Videos I quickly learned that there's no money in both of them and they are extremely hard to get into
Aaron Sanchez
Oh sorry I also studied Media Broadcasting. Majoring in film. I know a lot of post-production editing more than anything else though
Aiden Lopez
What are you good at? Writing? Shooting? Editing? Directing?
Nolan Harris
>editing There was a guy on Sup Forums some time back who worked as an editor. He did porn movies eight hour a day. Sounded pretty sweet. Editing away guys sweaty assholes and coke girls freaking out. I think he said the pay was pretty good.

My end goal is to edit music videos or docs but my program didn't have a co-op or internship or anything like that so I don't know where to go from here. I don't live far from Toronto and could commute but I think i'd rather work in Hollywood or NYC.

Get an internship wherever you can and make like the jannies and to shit for free. Only way to build up a portfolio, and those are more important than the actual degree famalamadingdong

>I thought this would be a pretty easy industry It is easy, if you're a cute little boy and you're willing to meet some producers and have some "sleepovers"
