I mean what the FUCK man

Experimental films by Nick Zedd or Richard Kern probably. Very transgressive weird shit.

Pink Flamingos, probably.

Begotten

fuck this shit

He might be weird but Kern is an absolute master of erotic art, his five minute video of women brushing their teeth is more erotic than 99.999% of the porn I've ever watched

Begotten is pretty unpleasant, made it through about 6 or 7 minutes before I decided I wasn't okay with how it made me feel.

That was about 5 years ago. I'll finish it...at some point...

Took me hours to figure out to shake off the fuzzy feeling after watching this the first time.
By the fourth or fifth time I was completely into it.

House has to be one of weirdest movies I've ever seen, and I don't mean that in a bad way because I absolutely loved it.

I have no idea what the name of it was, but one night I had a fever and I was half asleep, half awake watching some low budget no name movie on Syfy or one of those channels. The whole movie was a contained thriller about this couple in a log cabin that woke up one day and found there were no other people at the lodge. The whole movie they try to get the phones working again, the TV working, they inspect the lodge, end up having to hunt for food and eventually hike the mountains as a last resort to look for other people.

Anyway, this is 99.9% of the movie. The last minute had the guy protagonist's face morph into some kind of an indescribable reptilian alien thing, say something in a garbled voice and presumably kill the wife because it just cut to the credits right away. It was completely out of nowhere and wasn't built up to at all. There were no hints leading up to whatever the fuck that was and if anybody knows what I'm talking about, I'd appreciate if you let me know what it was called.

End of Evangelion

I need this

I thought it was going to be a movie about a sea monster but it was 90 minutes of shots on a commercial boat focusing on all the equipment and shit used to harvest fish. I guess it was supposed to be a metaphor about how humans are the real leviathans. Only made it through the movie because I was holding out hope it was gonna be some blair witch project tier shit and a giant monster was gonna pop out and destroy the boat but instead it just cuts to black

I downloaded and watched that movie thinking it was the russian Leviathan that came out in 2014

i did exactly the same

It's great you plebs

any episode of Deadliest Catch is better, user

If.... (1968)

I liked Mulholland Dr and I loved Twin Peaks but Eraserhead was just self-indulgent to an intolerable extent

You're an idiot. Stick to Captain America movies

>Eraserhead was just self-indulgent to an intolerable extent
Wtf does that even mean?

it was pretentious. it doesn't make sense unless you know david lynch's personal background

Senseless is not enjoyable, is senseless.

That idiot movie deserves no credit the trolls try to give.

I want this but now I can't have it because you ruined the ending for me, it's not your fault but I really wanted to see it

This was pretty strange, but enjoyable.

link to that?

Multiple Maniacs is more so.

Oh hell yeah. This movie caught me completely off-guard, and became one of my favorites.

Weirdest goes to Tetsuo the Iron Man.

"Weird" is a nonsensical word.

Weird is actually weird. Therefore its definition is itself and is therefore useless.

Zardoz

Eraserhead actually drove me to tears when he killed the baby.

Just the thought of all diseased children in the world suffering, never growing up to be healthy; all the torture and pain in the world - I felt this as the baby was dying - it drove me to brawl my eyes out.

No idea if Lynch had this intention for the viewer to feel.

recently, pic related
all time, probably trash humpers

/t/v proving once again that they've seen maybe 20 films tops if they're listing Lynch and End of Evangelion

I don't really find anything strange anymore but i'll just list a few that may qualify: Visitor Q, Naked Blood, Shyness Machine Girl, Lolita Vibrator Torture, Eat the Schoolgirl, Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl

life is senseless. you're in the wrong thread anyway, are you too stupid to read the OP's text?

Get on my level!

An old man, isolated from society, has created his own "state". The civilians of this "state" are his animals, who create together with the old man an autarchy life circle. When f.i. a dog dies, the corpse is used to grow maggots. These are fed to the chickens and the chickens serve as food for himself, the dogs and the cats. As we observe this old man in his so called "state", he his reflecting on the relationship between the powerful and the subordinates, the Soviet Union, Gorbatchov and Perestroika.

I actually forgot the absolute weirdest i've seen: Mermaid in a Manhole

Here Then.

I have no idea what I just watched.

You're listing mid-2000 fedora-core weeaboo stuff, it's not particularly impressive.
I suspect that Ichi the Killer and Blind Beast are also on your list.

here, let's get weird!
Wax, or the Discovery of Television Among the Bees

The Last Days of the World

Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives

Its twisted

This is one of my favorites

Actually very cool movie. Love it.

>mid 2000s

none of those are mid 2000s, three of them are from the 2000s though

>weaboo

yeah, like half the stuff in this thread.

I won't even claim there isn't weirder stuff (pure experimental stuff like Man Ray, in general i'm interested in stuff with a semblance of narrative), but every thread is always people listing the same stuff, and Lynch inevitable comes up in every single surreal thread
