Age/Education/Salary?

I'm 22 fresh out of college w/ a bachelor of arts in psychology, making $30,000 a year w/ full benefits. Kind of bummed about this but also I think it's *ok* for just finishing school.

Down to my last 140k atm due to shitty markets and investments

What job.

>Just under 11k a year
>Only have 8k in savings
>Moving to Toronto next year
>Will be fucked

My dad died and left me 70k, I invested most of it and made a lot back, kept on trading and investing. Last big loss was over 200k, biggest ever win was only 40k I suck at this

Bruh, I want to know about investing so bad...I have my own money saved up and I want to learn how. Got any tips or a beginner?

23 high school graduate.
Cnc machinist/programmer

37k a year. Just started my current job 4 months ago, looking at a raise in the next month or so.

Join military. Free health care, a lot of benefits, but go in with a plan, don't just do it to do it.

That's pretty good. Keep it up, maybe do your own business?

OP that image wasn't funny at all, and i think you should kill yourself

Well...Can't argue with dubs, but you still took the bait, kid.

i never said it was funny... i post it every once in a while hoping someone has some idea what it means. i was so baffled when i saw it that i screenshotted it.

OP, don't take the bait back...

Research and talk to people, most of the decent and big scores I got happened cause I saw their plans and knew they were a good idea. My last big fail and most of my failures came from taking things at face value. It was a project to introduce solar panels and harness energy to run machines, now looking at the progress I realize they're fucking morons who know less than a high school student. Other than that at first just research and talk to people and never invest more than you're willing to lose, at the end of the day it's just gambling

Well I honestly am not a big gambler...But hey, I wouldn't mind having a specific bank savings account dedicated to that only while I work a safety net job. I like to plan things out before I fuck my life up. But thanks for the tips, I hope I can use it myself.

IT hardware repair technician/ delivery driver. Full benefits. It's pretty chill. On /b most of the day

Definitely on the horizon, but i need to buy a house first. The easiest way to get a small fortune woodworking is to start with a large one. I'm hoping to start a luthiery business making bespoke stringed instruments.

You invested in solar roadways?

In wich country can you do something with a bachelor in psychology. Where i'm from you almost can't do anything paid until you get a ph.D

26/Masters/160k

money != happiness; makes life easier though

this

Inherited 430,000 but feel empty inside. Life is worthless when there is no one left.

i got lucky, i guess. i'm going to get a graduate degree in the next few years, but i'm not sure what i want to go for. definitely not psychology, though lol

Don't know a single faggot that got a Psych degree are doing anything related

You're right, money can't buy happiness, but it can buy tools and lumber, and isn't that the same thing?

Can we post annual profit instead of salary? These numbers mean nothing without factoring cost of living

>21
>Bachelors
>$32k/yr in the suburbs
>Projecting 7k above budget

Progress in life by helping people out, like the good ones, not the bad ones. Be humble and kind with your money and your life, it will give back in what you need.

I don't know anyone with a Psych degree, without a masters +, that does anything related to that. Most of the time it ends up being a fucking social media faggot with marketing

No, salary has appreciated ~120% in 4 years. Strategy consulting, partner track.

30k a year, assuming student loans - taxes, what, 1500 a month? 1000 rent, 300 car, 100 cell, 100 cable/internet,

How do you still have running water, electricity, groceries - let alone clothing and fun spening money. Can you even save a few dollars for retirement?

30k is NOT an okay wage for a college grad.

I'm in Sales. Projecting myself to make 150k before 30 if I stay on track. 20% always goes to a savings in a separate bank, and 5% to 401k, only see 75% of my money. Failure to prepare is preparing to fail

i'm a vocational specialist at a non-profit

37/Masters/55k

39, Masters + 64, 80,000

I make a decent salary but my wife and kids spend it all on shit. Wife once spent $2000 in one day on clothes for kids. What the fuck woman. Wish I was dead.

PUT EVERY DOLLAR INTO AN INDEX FUND you fucking pleb

no student loans, living at home until i can afford a house (waiting for my gf to graduate college), my job has full benefits/good retirement, and i live in a rural area. this company is supposed to be pretty upwardly mobile, so hopefully i am better off in a few years.

25/BS in Engineering from Cal Poly/ 90k

Nice, gg.
Keep at that shit, bitch

1000 rent? 100 for a cellphone? Dude what?

It really depends on where you live. A one bedroom goes for $450 - $550 in my state's biggest city, Louisville. And my phone bill is $30. You can get an OK internet plan for $35/mo and you don't need cable.

are you being sarcastic? i just started this job and feel kind of bad about it ;[ but thanks, if you're being sincere

Liquor, mostly Spirits and Champagne, some wine. It's a huge monopoly and extremely political, but very lucrative if you can handle it. It's not easy.

Lol literally this, or open a Shwab intelligent portfolio and let it do the work for you.

Also investing in large companies like GE or Johnson and Johnson that pay a divedend and have a steady ~8% return every year is safe.

19 NEET $0.00 ganna shoot myself before the end of the year if i don't get a fucking job

Holy fuck. I'm in the Dirty South and you can't get a 1BR for less than 800/mo.

Downside is living in Louisville

Totally sincere; A lot better than anything else you'd probably be able to get

Yet most people die with too much money - money earned is life wasted earning money

Rent is like that all over Kentucky. And Louisville isn't even a bad city.

26

The research firm payed off my tuition and I have a company car.

Where do you live?

Get a degree in a valuable field if what you want is money.

I said 22 not 52 lol, the savings isn't to just sit there, it could be a down payment on a house or something similar, rather save now than later

No shit? Same general area. You heard of truck and tap in Woodstock?

Oh, I guess it's because you're in Atlanta. I don't know why rent is so high in Atlanta though considering its not even that huge of a city.

29, bachelors, software developer. $72k... but its canadian. Could be pulling in more, but idgaf.

im in the FAR SW suburbs of Chi and you cant find anything under 1k...thats why im moving back in with my parents at 38 y.o with my 2 y.o. kid and my gf.

When you take into consideration the metro Atlanta area, it spans quite a few counties.

Nice, I'll have to check that shit out.

Any big distributor. It's essentially wholesale. #1 Southern just merged with #2 Glazers. So they're huge, Southern Glazers. Out here other companies are Youngs Market, Gallo, Regal, Epic, Wine Warehouse, and literally hundreds of smaller, and independent ones. But the aforementioned are the big players. Mostly southern, nobody else can compete with Southern.

Nigger don't complain. Without that schooling it's either factory work, all day every day to even come close to that, or its shitty fast food jobs that make barely enough to pay one bill. And the fast food isn't meant to pay bills, it's for fucking teenagers. It's why they expect to be able to hire and fire people as they rotate their weekly schedule. Plus none of these fucking jobs have benefits. None. All the factories I could work at would pay the bills but then I'd be fucked on insurance, cuz then I'd make too much to get it through the state.
Being poor fucking sucks, there's no way out without money or luck anymore.

And 60k is salary only. Not counting bonus, incentives or commission. Can make 50k plus In a month off commission alone. Obviously that's having the ideal account listing in the ideal territory... like me being in the greater LA area and having all the big accounts. Pretty much the best territory in the world for this business

>26
>Executive Chef

Thank you for your knowledge fam

28/some college, currently taking classes/$0, unemployed, have never been formally employed either. only once was i ever 'hired' as anything and that was a seasonal contract thing to deliver phonebooks, did one route, realized i couldnt do another one since A. my vehicle was a regular old sedan and not a truck that could carry tons of phonebook pallets and B. it was literally impossible to do without a second person to help you in the time frame they gave you, and they used that to try and avoid paying you

No problem. To answer your other question l, certification depends on what path you want to take but having WSET II, CSW, and CSS pretty much has you set, and honestly not difficult. anything above that and you'll be a résumé wet dream.
