is this as good as we walked in song

...

..maybe? I'll be honest, I downloaded parts of their discog in like 2009 after having heard Bright as Yellow, but never really got around to actually listening to them..
However after having heard Glow properly all I can say is that it's awesome. I'd guess you'd like it if you like their other albums. They don't seem to be all that different from album to album.

at the least ive never seen someone post about it before

Birds of my Neighborhood is 10/10

Kek saw this yesterday

...

Good psych-prog. Shame you can't find it anywhere on the webs anymore. Anyone download this when it was still on band camp?

it's good

Always nice to see a NMH fan around here

I am actually a bit surprised I haven't seen this album posted here

Tell me what you think

very good stuff, love this album

>They don't seem to be all that different from album to album.
Yes they are. They go from an indie pop band to a folk band.

yee

newfags pls go

Listened to this album once and can't remember the name, nor the band's name, anything
Can someone here recognize it and tell me the name?

my nigga

It's like Wildflower but actually good. Thanks for this

my african brother, this is one of my favorite albums ever, its like u took your highschool marching band and gave them mdma

These were all over the place c. 2012-2013

Yes I'm posting this one
It's got a bit of the free jazz wankery you all love, plus some regular jams too

Positive Force - Delicate Steve

Never heard of any of the albums in this thread

wut. That used to be spammed here all the time. This place got me into them. They're like Lambchop meets Mercury Rev, which is awesome.

Posted a couple of times before, acoustic slightly psychedelic folk/rock with incredible lyrics. 10/10 for me.

...

what's with Contemporary Folk? It's got a wierd ass sound that I just can' pinpoint.

When I think of Folk, I think more these.

Listening to this. Sounds awesome desu.

I think it's the singing.

It's so soulless and artificial. Like they're trying /real hard/ to make it sound "pretty," or whatever. It sounds phony.

it lacks energy and confidence. When I think of folk I think of a singer that is able to express the song in his voice.

this is a good example, I think. Also the Rin Eric posted above

Overproduction? Extra instrumentation and layering?

I don't know, the genre is broad as fuck now. Folk can mean anything, particularly subgenred to "indie" or "alternative".

Overproduction is a good one.

2016 AOTY

Well the record I posted was produced by a renowned overproducer so wouldn't surprise me.

I still dig it though, even the whispery vocals.

I've posted it here before, but it was a long time ago, and I don't see it mentioned much anyway. Everyday I Write the Book is a great Costello track, and Shipbuilding is simply one of the least appreciated gems of modern pop music. Totally insane that it connects Robert Wyatt, Elvis Costello, and Chet Baker into one story. For my money, one of Chet's best showings.

I love julian. Such a gem

Ive actually been seeing it on a few threads the past few weeks. Its their best album imo

ayy sticky fingers good band, they got some problems tho
