Yess eyedazzler is amazing
Remember when Tangible Rays kicked off the 2017 shoegaze revolution?
Whom /glifted/ here?
is draft morning the earliest dream pop song?
Eyedazzler is amazing.
Forever is amazing.
New slowdive is not good.
need some slowcore recs for this melancholy weather
Only shoegaze song I like .
i mean it was the first shoegaze album or the year probably
probably didn't spark much new interest in the style though
probably won't be involved in any revolution either
oops will delete meant to post this
Anyone pumped for this Heat album? Singles are pretty great
Come on Let's Go and Papercuts are 10/10 boiiii
This is kinda cool, reminds me of geidi primes/halafaxa a lil
just cause of the voice? or other things
Not really her voice, I just like the production and the drums especially. It's a really ambient, dark ethereal vibe
my nigga thats what ive been saying for years
i like memes
What do you guys think of this
It's kind of like Hijokaidan, with actual instruments and vocals. And the noise is worse
How did I just get into this now? It's like if Sonic Youth were shoegaze
What album is this? The artwork looks Real Neat.
In any case, my little drone pop project Debutante put out a record of covers recently. It includes reworks of stuff by Swans and Have a Nice Life, aswell as some video game OST covers (like Yume Nikki or The World Ends With You). FFO Boris, Have a Nice Life, The Angelic Process and similar bands. Dig.

Just listened to the HANL cover, pretty good. Neat to see someone based in Zurich as well, I used to live there.
the album they did after this is really weird and brilliant. they had sort of grown out of shoegaze by that point but its definitely worth your time. also their singles comp What to Do About Them has some gems
why must bands grow out of shoegaze
;_;
But yeah Salons is great, if a bit unfocused with the electronic interludes
It does seem to happen to quite a lot of them, I wish they wouldn't
Cheers! And sick. There's actually a surprising amount of good bands to come out of the ZH metro lately, shame going out/to gigs here is so expensive, haha.
Yeah, cost of living was kind of out of control. Loved it there but at the same time it's nice being back in the land of low prices, the good old United States of Wal-Mart.
One of my favorites. Probably the best first generation American shoegaze band we ever got.
>probably didn't spark much new interest in the style though
Personally, it got me back into the genre.
>probably won't be involved in any revolution either
Famous last words..
Tangible Rays - Seance
Geez, where have these threads been lately? Feels like a week since I've had any reason to be on Sup Forums.
January is almost over, anything else come out yet? I'm still catching up on last year myself. This Kestrels album is really growing on me:

Why is this the best album in the genre?
Fuck yeah I love that album
Trish is a time traveler.
>New slowdive is not good
spicy opinion there, bud
Someone give me a shoegaze album to listen to tonight that I haven't listened to yet.
The Fauns- Point Zero
*The Fauns- Lights
Listening to this now
this had better been good, user
i didnt enjoy lights as much as their first album
I don't think it's as strong either, but hopefully you still found it enjoyable.
You forgot look outside
I finished it a little while ago and liked it well enough. Thanks user
That too.
>alison's halo
fuck yeah
songs are catchy but i hate the production
shitty lofi guitars and drums and tape hiss
bit 2 math rocky 4 me but i love the guitar and artwork
But that's not In Ribbons.
>tfw nobody knows that Flaming Lips secretly released a shugazi album and its secretly their best record and the best shugazi record
which one
This is pretty good. set me up to be disappointed though, damn thing was 4/4 the entire way through. Why has mathgaze not been a serious wave yet?
I hereby recommend DIIV.
I think the lo-fi is part of the aesthetic
why did I only hear about vdc last year? it's from fucking 2003
local shoegaze band I really dig
what's shugazi's reaction to the new slowdive single?
bad
its okay
very good
Perfect.

I liked it

>Canadian lofi shoegaze/slowcore
FFO: duster, pasteboard, and bedhead
Seriously, check out Dirt by Horse Jumper of Love. Starts out as slow core then crescendos into a huge shoegazey section.
i didn't know coldplay did things like that. i like it.

Anyone got a download for this tasty meatball?
Mediocre. It'll be a good filler track but doesn't inspire confidence that this album will be an amazing comeback.
That was always my favorite Byrds song - a lot of 60s psych pop presaged stuff like slowcore.
I'm sure you could point to some Joe Meek song though.
Better than that MBV ripoff everyone keeps praising.

Who says shoegaze cant have solos and be in odd time signatures?
check the archives, it's been mentioned in every single thread since it came out so it shouldn't be hard to find
Eh, it hasn't really clicked for me yet (if it's ever going to)
sounds good
DL'd and listening to it now.
thanks, my man.
not bad not bad
wanna listen to that right now actually
those numbered interludes are like
important
aight
leave, Benjamin Irwin.
mediocre
aint even make me cry
This is one of my favourite albums. Weirdly though I can't get into their second album, or Sonic Youth.
I'm expecting the shameless swirlies shill to come chew you out for that any second desu
haven't seen him in a while
me neither, for a while there I came into every /shugazi/ expecting him to post and that one guy to request goji-sanpun
Serious question here guys.
How come ride are shoegaze but stone roses aren't?
Is it purely because ride was signed to creation and stone roses weren't?
I only just found out today that Fergus Miller passed away a few months ago. :'(
anyone going to see Alcest tomorrow night in Montreal? I'll be wearing a slowdive shirt.
I'm jelly. Saw them live twice, great stuff.
