Yes

I've been rewatching it since I was 10.

Just saw this 2 nights ago.

>When that song starts playing after the officer gives himself up.

Hnnng

Is that Edward James Olmos?

No, he's based Wes Studi

Knowing that it was redone twice the music being so god is a damm miracle. Main Theme is marvelous.

From the preview I thought it's Apocalypto. A great Amerindian movie too.

This last of the mohincans right? Haven't seen this since I was a child. It was my moms favorite movie, she was obsessed with DDL in the early 90s . my mom is a hipstor faggot

it's the first movie i remember seeing in the cinema. next one was JP. bretty good childhood desu

among the best

Fuck you FOX for blocking it you shits.

Amazing film and score. Fight scenes are top notch as well.
This
>thought it's Apocalypto
Get out

I showed this movie to my brother and my cousin a while back, and after it finished my cousin said that he thought magua didn't do anything wrong really. I didn't ever think about it when I saw it as a kid and when I thought about it now he was right. Magua was a dick, but a forward thinking dick.

Maga understand English very well.

Agreed, in reality the native Americans shouldve just let the english and french fight then took out which ever side was left.

this is the best scene in the entire star wars saga and anyone who disagrees is a pleb

Magua understands that the white man is a dog to his women. When they are tired, he puts down his tomahawk to feed their laziness.

this

Magua is based as fuck. God tier quotes.

>in time, Magua became bloodbrother to the Mohawk, to become free. But always in his heart, he's HURON!

>searching 4plebs for "magua did nothing wrong"
>find all of the posts with the phrase
>all but one is mine
>in one magua related post, someone replies with Bob Dole
>the last thread I made, at the 26th of May this year, analysing Magua's rational choices in the game of politics, had one original reply besides mine
>"does magua talk in 3rd person in the book?
i always thought that made him a little evil - like bob dole "

>tfw

most of us agree with you though.

>the hurons being able to take on colonial powers
Nah
>not helping the based french drive the eternal anglo back into the sea
The movie is pretty blatant in showing the french as cool and the english as arrogant dicks (American bias injected into the story, the book had the english as the cool colonialists).

>Nah
After the english faught the french they would be weakened. And im pretty sure it worked in that ambush scene. Why couldnt they do it again? In the long run being friends with the white man didnt work out so good im pretty sure.

>Why couldnt they do it again?
Because they could only mobilize a few hundred part-time fighters, any european power could easily deploy thousands of full-time soldiers.
Also they depended upon trade to get guns & powder, another benefit of alligning with one foreign power against another.

Most of the natives that tried direct confrontation got stomped, the natives that cooperated with the french on the other hand were treated very well (partly the reason there's so many more natives in Canada than in the US).

>more natives in Canada than in the US

Canada has, if you can believe it, a worse record than the u.s. in their treatment of natives.

>Just saw this 2 nights ago.

This fucking board.

I bet you've been posting in here for months and giving us your opinions on films and television, pretending you knew something.

I can't believe he got absolutely rekt so easily. RIP magua, all he wanted was to butcher the grey hair's children and wipe out his genetic line.

After the English drove out the french, yes

I meant all natives, just not thew Huron. If they all resisted from day 1 i think they could have pulled it off. But after a while i will agree the english and french may have been to entrenched.

Bob Dole

>all natives
About as likely as "if everybody would stop fighting we would have world peace" to work.
They hated each other much more than the newcomers sadly.
And buying guns was one of the things that allowed the Iroquis to demolish all their former enemies. Same with the Maories and the Musket Wars. Trade and cooperation was simply too lucrative.

I know its a long shot, just saying the enemy of my enemy is my friend. They should have realized that for the common good they need to put their differences aside and work together.

It's a 10/10 film.

I honestly can't find a single flaw.

No.

This. Doesn't get better.

>Duncan sacrificing himself
>the son chasing after them and getting 1v1 by magua
>the main chick's sister throwing herself off the cliff
>the father raging and shitstomping magua in a 1v1
>hawkeye sniping people
>the god tier sound song

it's flawless

This, its just such a good film im surprised it doesn't get talked about so much more on here.

wtf was Uncas thinking when he tried saving Alice?

The final sequence of LooM is fucking perfection.

>they've got my waifu

>le evbul Brits
>xDD

It sucks that our film makers are still buttmad about something from so long ago. Yet they don't remember fucking Freedom Fries.

It's beautiful the way the climax is animated by the love interest of the side characters and not the main. The hints at their feelings towards each other are subtle but become significant as the climax unfolds. The unspoken goings on are undeniable, absolutely spectacular ending.

He didnt count on Magua using the low block on his tomahawk.
What?

Psh, the French would rather eat and make love with their faces than fight.

Michael Mann's best film, fight me.

Fucking A right, it is!

That gunstock war club is just pure sex. Aesthetic of this movie is just off the charts.

Colonial North America is really under-used as a film setting.

>Colonial North America is really under-used as a film setting.
Agree, so much potential. the landscape of the east coast and north east is god tier for such times and movies.

Magua is a fucking badass

cinema paradiso senpai

tear jerker desu senpai

No way I'm fighting you dude you shitstomped Magua. Also this movie is fantastic beginning to end. One of my favorite scores as well.

At the hands of the Anglos, of course.

For the love of god tell me you are joking or memeing or something. That movie fucked sucked ass.

Which movie is this? Haven't seen it. Not doing shit tonight, so I'll watch it right now.

okay I'll bite

what didn't you like about it?

never post again

It really is a beautiful film.
It has the perfect soundtrack and even though it's been over a decade since I've watched this I can hear it in my head.

Michael Mann's best movie.

Prove me wrong.jpg

>sadly
You a cuck son?

I don't get it. All the other places the british colonized the natives were educated and nurtured as wards. Why did the british hate the Native Americans enough to slaughter and displace them en mass?
