How the fuck did a movie based on a mobile game actually be better than a fantasy based on over 30 years of lore (20 years of WarCraft + the preceding decade of Warhammer, on which the WarCraft universe is based)?
I'd rather watch Doom or Super Mario Bros. movies than WarCraft.

The reason is two fold.
Angry Birds was better than expected because there wasn't much of a story to begin with and thus the creators had more freedom.
Warcraft was shit because Warcraft was created by a company that when asked about getting some kind of WoW equivalent of Oldschool Runescape, a game that has proven to be as financially successful as the main game, the company responded with "you don't actually want that" and then proceeded to shut down a private server with 150,000 players.
