What does and doesn't transition from boxing to MMA?
I'd imagine a lot of the footwork and just overall ability to utilize your hands effectively actually translates pretty well, developing a good jab, just being able to work efficiently in the pocket and lead effectively with your hands. Head movement can probably generally transition well
But an overall pure boxing stance leaves you ripe for single legs and getting the leg lit up. Moving around overall discounts the possibility of circling into a headkick and just overall dealing with kicks in general
Can't shoulder roll around in the pocket or play peek a boo, a lot of defensive stuff in general is just asking to be taken down or fucked up one way or another. The whole element of being kicked, kneed, elbowed adds something completely new to the way you move around and approach everything in general. But how significant would that be? Clinching aspect from boxing is nerfed too.
