It's funny because my sister loves creep

Everyone I have met irl who likes Death Grips has been a girl.

[entire discography]

All girls do.
Especially house wives in their 40s for some fucking reason.

They like it, they don't get it. Ask them what it means to them beyond "le screaming black man"

It's kind of a gross amplification of what it means to be a man. I might like folk music but I'll never understand it like someone that was born and raised in a dilapitated shack in rural kansas and backpacked across the country to play at enough dive bars to afford to eat.

[endless blockades]

teenage alt girls love early Radiohead though

But does she understand it?

probably as much as any high schooler with slight depression

how to i get my gf to understand my music?
she barely listens to music but wants to get into it
what do?

Just tell why you like it. But be specific on why that music as whole appeals to you, not what individual parts you like.

...

Just seeing the title makes me hurt now.

Bravo Brian.

but you get it, of course. what if they think that they get it? are they wrong?

It's pretty clear a lot of people don't get your point, though I think you did get it backwards

Yes, it's true women are almost infinitely less likely to understand what it feels like to be viewed as an actual creep and a weirdo that gets ostracized from society...they are also infinitely more likely to latch on to a mediocre pop song about how lol so weird they are, that song was made with a teenage female audience in mind

loving a song =/= understanding it

was just gonna post this.

But that's my gf's favorite Radiohead song
