no. this album is mediocre and doesn't deserve the hype.
any Kanye West albums that would belong here?
...
if you have to delete any tracks, then it is not a 10/10
Yeezus
is this niggra happen to be from the future?
Hello R.eddit
If you would not give a 10 to a musical album that ever existed then there is no reason for this type of rating to exist.
Could have a system whereby you could get infinitely close to a 10 but never reach it
>deleting tracks from albums
>deleting tracks from the black saint and the sinner lady
>thinking kanye west is even close to being 10/10
>le rap? more like crap xD
and just because something is old doesn't make it perfect my man
>implying i don't like hip hop
>implying the black saint is good because it's old
are you underage or just retarded?
That must be really frustrating, but we're talking about music, not a srs business
MBDTF if a 10/10 whether you like it or not and Kanye is great.
I've only listened to Soundtracks for the Blind and To Be Kind, To Be Kind was actually good, not even a fan of swans or michael gira
>ayo what kinda cut u want
>gimme that .02 drag coefficient
>say no more
listen to more music kid
TVU-White light/white heat
Faust-s/t
Wu-tang clan-36 chambers
Frank zappa-freak out
...
>album that includes Here She Comes Now
>10/10
...
only in classical and (a lot less) in jazz
neither one of those was correct.
if not MBDTF then nope.
>classical
>albums
Ill give you faust and maybe 36 chambers but wlwh isnt varied enough to be a 10 imo. Banana had more textures and writing styles but its still like an 8
CALL THE FUCKING COPS
Forgot to mention the can trilogy with damo and the first 3 soft machine albums. Electric ladyland and arguably band of gypsies, larks tongue in aspic, club de esquina, Pet sounds, what burns never returns, yank crime, incasinoout, anything by sound of animals fighting, cosmogramma, fuck idk
>Pet Sounds
I'd also put Wild Honey and Love You there as 10/10 albums by The Beach Boys.
Just listened to one a few hours ago

Monday In London - The Red Machine
bait how? I listened to it for the first time today and it's a fucking 10/10 imho.
As i see it, it is literally impossible to be perfect. But this is okay, imperfections and the human qualities of music are what make us enjoy it. I see nothing wrong with there never being a 10/10
Of course.
I give it a 10/10 if its basically as close to flawless as I consider possible, but the flaws are just nitpicks or even kind of end up working in the album's favour. Such as a vocalist lacking particular range in the vocals but they suit the music so well it's not such a big deal.
Tbh, a 10/10 album is one that
>Is consistent throughout, with no filler
>Leaves the listener drastically feeling the intended emotion the album (overall) is meant to convey/portray
>Is sonically unique
>The performances by everyone on the album are excellent (technically, and the way they express their musicality through their instrument)
I feel like other than that it becomes subjective and based on taste
Some of Kanye's albums definitely fit here.
mediocre at best
this
Basically perfect for driving and sightseeing while driving
underrated post
Anthony. What are you doing here?
Talk Talk's Laughing Stock
Good choices
Pic related is very much a 10 to me
Apparently expressing your opinion is bait. Are you really surprised that one of the most commercially and critically successful albums of all time is considered a 10/10 by some people?
no and that is why a rating system based on numbers shouldn't be used. It invites the user of the rating system to think of expression as an attempt at perfection, which is a very limited way of judging music. Using words is a much more accurate system to describe anything. Apart from that it often (this does not always apply, I'm sure some people can rise above that) prevents the listener to fully engage with whatever he's listening to, since he is already categorizing the music while listening to it. Especially since the dominant ratings seem to lie between 6 and 8. Again words are much better at explaining what music does good and what it doesn't without putting it in the same category as other music that you rate the same number.
Another reason why I don't like the number ratings is that music cannot get outside of itself if rated with numbers. Even a theoretical 10 still confines the music to the system that the listener confines it by. I feel as if rating music is a way of keeping it from completely affecting you. You assume superiority over it.
tl;dr pidgeon-holing your thoughts sucks
Is that Klaus Nomi?
@IGbarbermemes
...
mad underrated
Influential > masterpieces of their genre > compositionally good (but missing that masterpiece quality) > albums that you relate to personally.
